Quinn's POV
My eyes were wide as we walked through the strange tunnels underneath Hawkins. I had never seen something so strange in my entire life.

I stuck close to Steve, not wanting to get lost or attacked by a demodog.

Suddenly, Dustin screamed. Steve sprinted towards him to see what was going on.

"It's in my mouth! It's in my mouth!" Dustin shouted as he coughed and sputtered, spitting out something that had been in the air that had gotten in his mouth. Steve sighed as he helped the boy up and we kept walking.

When we had finally found a spot with lots of vines, we doused them with gasoline and Steve lit the vines on fire with his lighter.

Almost immediately, we could hear the howls of the demodogs. Steve grabbed my hand and sprinted towards the hole we had entered through.

On our way back, we ran into some trouble. That trouble being a demodog. Dustin got in front of Steve and I, blocking us from hitting the demodog.

"Wait! It's Dart!" Dustin said. Steve frowned.

"He might try to hurt you. He's still a demodog," the brunette argued, his bat still at the ready.

Dustin pulled a three musketeers out of his pocket and began feeding pieces of it to the demodog.

We snuck past it, and, when it was fully distracted, Dustin snuck away with us. Not too long after, we found the hole we had entered through and could hear the group of demodogs coming towards us.

Steve helped the kids up and then it was my turn to climb the rope but the demodogs were coming towards us. Steve pulled out his bat and pulled me towards him, ready to fight any demodog that tried to attack us but the demodogs ran right past us, not even paying attention to the pair of us.

Once they were gone, Steve and I climbed up the rope and I burst into tears as we got up to the surface. Steve helped me up and removed his handkerchief and goggles from his face. He then wrapped his arms around me to comfort me.

"It's ok. It's all over," Steve whispered into my ear. My tears began to stop and I calmed down, comforted by Steve's warm embrace.

As he finally let go of me, I cupped his face in my hands and pulled him towards me, kissing him full on the lips.

When we pulled away, Steve's expression was of shock and confusion.

"Steve, I'm sorry if..."

"No, no. It's ok. It might have been only a week but I fell in love with you in that time," Steve said with a smile. I frowned.

"What about Nancy?" I asked as Steve ran a hand through my red hair.

"Nancy doesn't love me. She's in love with Jonathan," Steve replied as his hands traveled to mine and he held my hands tight.

I had never been more happy than I was right then.
