Quinn's POV
Although I had only planned on taking Max with me shopping, her and El had convinced me to take El with us. I knew El wasn't supposed to be out but the girl needed something to do.

El was wearing clothes that Hopper had given her that had once been his and Max and I could tell that the poor girl didn't like them. Max and I took her all over the mall, helping El find clothes that she liked.

Max and I also found some nice clothes and I changed into the summer dress I had bought while El dressed up in a black romper with neon designs. It was pretty but I didn't want to get the same thing as El.

Max and El got photos at one of the shops. They wore silly clothes for the photos and had fun posing for the camera.

Once the two girls were done getting photos, I took them to Scoops Ahoy. The three of us were giggling like school girls as we entered the shop. Steve was talking with Robin through the window to the break room. I rang the bell and Steve turned around to look at us.

"Strawberry please," Max said with a smile.

"Vanilla with sprinkles please," El put in.

"Just vanilla for me," I said. Steve nodded as he got each of us our cones. When he was finished, he looked at El as she licked her ice cream cone.

"Are you supposed to be here?" Steve asked. I could tell that he knew that El was probably here against Hopper's wishes.

Max and El looked at each other and then ran out of the ice cream shop, giggling.

"See you later, Quinn. El and I are gonna take the bus home!" Max called over her shoulder as they left.

Steve shrugged and then turned his attention to me.

"You look stunning in that sundress, Quinn. You should wear it to work tomorrow," the brunette said with a smirk. I laughed.

"Sorry. That's against company policy," I replied. Steve frowned as he took his scoops ahoy hat off and tossed it onto the counter.

"Screw company policy!" Steve snapped in a joking way. I laughed.

"Wow. You're a real rebel, Steve Harrington." I said teasingly. Robin opened the window and drew another line on the you suck side of the board, making seven lines on the board. Steve frowned when he saw it.

"What's that one for?" He asked. Robin shrugged.

"Because you're a total dork," Robin said as she placed the cap back on the white board marker she had used on the white board. I laughed.

"I don't think you're a total dork," I said, kissing Steve on the cheek. The brunette smiled.

"Ok. Enough of the mushy stuff. I translated the Russian message that Dustin recorded. We think it might be a coded message," Robin said. I nodded.

"Can I see what you found?" I asked. Robin nodded.

"Sure,"

I entered the break room to find Dustin sitting at the table, scribbling down a few things.

"Hey Dustin. Robin said that you guys were able to translate the Russian message. What did it say?" I asked. Dustin frowned.

"The sentences don't really make much sense so we're assuming that it's code for something which means that now we have to figure out what the code means," the curly haired boy muttered in annoyance. I shrugged.

"I can help if you like. What are the sentences?" I asked. Robin stood up and began to recite what she translated.

"The week is long. The silver cat feeds when blue meets yellow in the west. A trip to China sounds nice if you tread lightly," Robin recited. I frowned.
