Exaggerated (Jujutsu Kaisen)

27 - Satoru Gojo

Sukina didn't come back to Jujutsu High too. Satoru came back with Junpei and foods for the first year. Of course, Satoru becomes worried.

Where did she go? Why Sukina didn't come back?

"Gojo sensei! Where's Sukina chan?" Yuji asked. During the time, everyone gathered in the pantry. Satoru sigh, before he sit beside Yuji.

"She's just... having a bad day." He smile.

"Oh, really?" Yuji looks worried. Junpei then offers to make drinks for everyone, so he left his seat.

"Yeah." Satoru smile. Though it's not that assuring. Even he could not feel calm.

"You know, these days, Sukuna keeps pestering me about Sukina." Yuji stated. Nobara put her spoon down.

"What? He did?" She looks surprised. This also makes Megumi put his spoon down, along with his meal.

"Yeah. He keep asking me about her and so on. Also, we once walked alone together, before he suddenly appear. But yeah, I don't really remember the details though. It's, hazy." Yuji sigh.

"You mean, Sukuna might gained control?" Megumi asked.

"Yeah, it could be." Yuji replied.

Then, Junpei come with a tray full of drinks. He put a few cups in front of them. Then, he seat.

"I've been meaning on asking this, but who is Sukuna and so on? It's all confusing." Junpei finally asked.

So yeah. It takes around 20 minutes of Nobara's explanation, along with Megumi.

"Oh, I see. So, you're a vessel, Yuji kun?" Junpei clap his hands, once. He finally understand what happened.

"Yeah, I am." Yuji grin.

Then, it's a moment of silent. No one say anything, nor do anything. Just, sipping drinks and daydream.

In the end of the day, Sukina wasn't there too. She didn't came back, which make the first year worry. At first, Satoru thought that his little sister is joking, but not this time. Nobara calls the girl, but it was sent right on her voicemail. It's the same with Megumi, Yuji and even Junpei.

Satoru is staying for the day. He starts to become worry, that Sukina might not coming back. Where did she go?

Satoru is now all alone in the pantry, until Yuji and Junpei came into the pantry.

"Gojo sensei? Wasn't it like 12 in the morning or so?" Yuji blinks a few times, while Junpei remained silent.

"Ah, how about you, Yuji kun, Junpei kun?" He smile.

"Oh, we just finished a movie earlier. It's so cool! Junpei really has a great taste for movie. The one he recommend me is really great." Yuji smile.

"Oh... Alright." Satoru smile.

As nothing much they can do, Yuji offers to make chamomile tea for Junpei. Then, the two take their seats in front of Satoru.

"I really can't sleep. Sukuna realllllly noisy in my head." Yuji confess. Satoru twirl his lots of sugar cup, before look at him.

"What do you mean?"

"He wants to meet Sukina chan. He insist." Yuji sigh. He kinda sleepy though, but after hearing some constant babbling about Sukina from Sukuna, he can't sleep.

"...." Satoru didn't say anything.

"You know, sensei. Sukina chan looked worried earlier." Junpei tap his cup a few times. Satoru raised his head.

"What do you mean, Junpei kun?" Satoru asked.

"She genuinely worried about you. I'm sure she's pretty mad because you didn't answer her question. Instead, you dodged them." Junpei stated. 

"Yeah, I do. That's what I always do." He grin.

"I'm sorry if you feel offended in any way, sensei." Junpei apologize.

"No, it's okay. I... I'm good." 

Well, it's not.

Most of the time, Satoru never reveal his true feelings to Sukina. It's not siscon, okay. He's just... worried. Satoru didn't want Sukina to be sad or anything. Does that makes him fail as a brother?

Junpei could feel his phone vibrate. He check out the message. He carefully read the content, before keep his phone inside his pocket.

"Um, Sukina chan said that she's with Nanami san."

"The hell?" Satoru cursed.

"Well, she said that she's staying in his apartment, until you come and get her." Junpei gulped. Satoru looks pissed.

"Ah, she's staying with Nanamin?!" Yuji looks surprised.

"Tch." Satoru irked, more.

"Then, let me call Nanamin-"

"I'll get her later, in the morning." Satoru sigh, after taking a deep breath.

Sukina is sitting on the couch with warm blanket around her. Actually, she didn't get permission to stay here though. Nanami told her to leave a few times, each time couple of hours passes. Yet, Sukina didn't move.

Her heart still stings, by Satoru's answer.

"Sukina, it's already 12 in the morning. Why don't you go to sleep?" Nanami appear on the living room door. He eventually fed up to tell her to go back. It's so late, and he didn't want to bear any consequences if anything happen to her.

"Mmm." That's all she replied, by a hum. 

It's raining that night. The cold winds outside makes Sukina shivers, even though she's wearing a warm blanket around her.

Nanami sigh upon the view. Sukina didn't change her clothes, as she wears the same clothes when she came. She didn't talk much, but Nanami know that she has something in mind. Well, as an adult, he should act like one. Nanami walks towards the white haired, before sit beside her.

"What's wrong?" He asked. Sukina sigh, before she slowly shook her head.

"Nothing."

"You do know that you can tell the adult your problem? It could settle it." He persuade Sukina to tell. The red eyes then look at Nanami, before she push her hair away.

"It's about Satoru." Sukina stated. She now in a position that she hug her knees tight, while bury her head inside her smooth thighs.

"What's with him?" Nanami asked.

"I asked him a simple question, but he dodged it."

"...." Nanami didn't say anything.

"I'm worried about him, every single night. What if I lose him? What will I do if I can't protect him? I know I was born weak, but that doesn't mean he can ignore my concern for him. He sounds so arrogant that makes me worried more." Sukina sigh.

Nanami sigh, before he slowly pat her back.

"Adults are always like that, Sukina. He didn't want you to worry about him."

"But, if he didn't tell my anything, how can I understand what he's feeling? Why he need to bottle everything up? Does Satoru even think me as his little sister?" 

Sukina's questions makes Nanami silent. He can't answer than. He knew that he shouldn't say anything further. He, should stop this. But, like Sukina say, she would not understand it.

It's hard to be an adult.
