Midterm tests part 2

It's the day before exam day and Marun was exhausted with red eyes and a slumped body.
Marun: (yawning) Morning sis.
Brenda: Woah what happened bro?
Marun: (normal) oh umm don't worry about it I just stayed up a little late studying again.
Brenda: Marun, you're doing it again.
Marun: doing what?
Brenda: You always go overboard on exams and usually end up failing luckily the teachers didn't Really care so they always let you do it again.
Marun: I just.. really want to make sure I do well that's all.
Brenda: okay just don't overdue it like usual.
Marun looks at Brenda with a confused face.
Marun: what do you mean don't overdue it
Brenda: You over study and stress then end up failing the test.
Marun: oh come on is it really that bad.
Brenda: YES Marun you literally had to retake every test because of that stress.
Marun: ok I see your point
Brenda: Marun promise you will just ease up a little.
Marun: Bu-
Brenda: (Serious tone) PROMISE ME!
Marun: ok I'll.. try
Brenda(sighs) good enough for me.
Marun: Can you promise me that you're actually going to study today.
Brenda: mmm fine I guess.
Marun goes and grabs breakfast and Brenda comes to join him.
Marun: Mm blueberry pancakes
Brenda: I still can't believe mom actually wants us to fly to school.
Marun: to be fair the last couple of times we went on the bus there were some issues.
Brenda: I don't know what you're talking about.
Marun: well...
(Flashback)
(Tuesday)
Brenda spilled water on the floor and Jamie slipped on it.
Brenda: whoops my bad this transparent hand of mine.
Jamie: (growls) You did that on purpose.
Brenda: Oh really prove it.
Brenda walks back to her seat with Jamie heated in anger.
(Wednesday)
Jamie approached Brenda's seat.
Jamie: (demanding) Hand over your lunch.
Brenda: Why would I would do that.
Jamie: look if you don't hand it over there will serious consequences involving you me your brother and a bat.
Brenda: alright fine here.
Brenda handed her the lunch box. Jamie opened it.
Jamie: (normal) It's ... empty
Brenda: You really think I pack a lunch I'm dead besides my mom gave me enough food in the morning.
Brenda started chuckling and Jamie returned to her seat angry and humiliated.
(Flashback ends)
Brenda: Fine but come on she's getting on my nerves and picking on us for no reason.
Marun: are you sure you didn't do anything to deserve what you got.
Brenda: okay maybe I deserve whatever she plans next but that still doesn't make it right for her to be picking on you.
Marun: I'd probably deserve...
Brenda: Marun we talked about this mom and dad have said and even your therapist has said this, you're a good person and you shouldn't beat yourself up about things that aren't your fault or out of your control.
Marun: I'll try.
Brenda: Hey you know I'm just trying to look out for you because I love you.
Marun: love you too sis.
Marun and Brenda arrived at school
Brenda: Alright bro see you after school.
Marun: Bye Brenda.
Marun walks inside and sees his friends waiting for him.
Marun: Hey guys.
Darwin: Good morning Marun.
Ocho: You feel ready for tomorrow?
Marun: Yeah definitely.
Ocho: Oh and Marun thanks for helping me study last night.
Marun:(yawns) no problem
Darwin: You ok marun, you sound tired.
Ocho: how long did you stay up for.
Marun: (tiredly) I don't know maybe since 3 or something...
Ocho: you okay maybe you should take a break today I mean you've been studying all week.
Darwin: yeah maybe we can just hang later today.
Marun: (yawns) no it's fine guys don't worry.
Darwin:Ok if you say so.
(Bell rings)
Marun: (normal)Bye guys see you later.
Ocho and Darwin: bye Marun.
Ocho: try to get some sleep okay.
Marun:We'll see.
Marun continued walking to his class.
Brenda's POV
Clare: so how do you feel about tomorrow's exam?
Brenda: (unsure) umm pretty ok i think.
Clare: Brenda....
Brenda: (normal)I'm fine don't worry about it I'll just wing it like always.
Clare You wanna study with me?
Brenda: look I've done it before and besides it's not worth much any ways.
Clare: You know it's worth 50% the quarter grade.
Brenda: (shouts) WHAT!?
Mr.Corneille: quite down Brenda we're in class.
Brenda: (normal) sorry.
Brenda had a quick thought.
Brenda: Well I do tend to get stressed during my test and have to retake on occasion.
Clare: see come on it'll be fun think of it like a girl's night.
Brenda: I thought we're going to study.
Clare: yeah but doesn't mean we can't have a little bit of fun.
Brenda: Fine and you're actually doing me a favor anyhow it'll make my brother happy knowing that I am taking it seriously this time.
Clare: Funny I thought you told me earlier this week you don't need his validation.
Brenda: I don't, but I will admit I love that goofy little dragon grin he makes, don't tell him I said that.
Clare:No worries your secret is safe with me.
Brenda: besides what can possibly happen with one dragon home alone on a Thursday.
Marun's POV
After Marun's last class he's about to head home.

Suddenly he was pushed against the wall of a small closet.
Jamie: Hey there Marun.
Marun: (stammers) Oh umm hi Jamie.
Jamie: So I need you.. to do something for me.
Marun: Uh-uh what?
Jamie then pulled out a sheet of paper with it marked answer key.
Marun:How did you...
Jamie: grabbed it from principal Brown's office, Anyways I need you to give this to Tina.
Marun: (normal) But that's wrong why would I give her the option to cheat.
Jamie: Ok here's the thing I'm worried that she's not going to do well on this test and then she'll be stuck here for another year.
Marun looked at the serious look Jamie gave him and he could tell that she wasn't pulling his leg.
Marun: I wish I could help her, maybe we can all study together and w....
Jamie: What are you too much of a goody toshoes to do anything wrong?
Marun: But I...
Jamie: Forget it maybe I should tell everyone the real reason why you moved here.
Marun looked at Jamie with fear and horror.
Jamie: That's right I dig some digging and found out about some certain family history and the destruction of a certain city.
Marun: Alright fine I'll help.
Jamie: Alright then but if you don't deliver I'm posting this.
Marun gulped in fear nodded and left to go look for Tina. Tina was standing there about to walk out then Marun coughed.
Marun: (coughed) Hi Tina.
Tina: Oh Muffin is something wrong?
Marun blushed still shocked and trying to adapt to the new nickname.
Marun:(normal) Oh no I was just thinking...
Marun holded the paper behind his back clutching it nervously.
Tina:You ok?
Marun: (quickly) Do you want to come over to my house?
Marun quickly covered his mouth as he said it almost immediately.

Marun looked at her relived and said.
Marun: Oh well thank you, I mean you don't have to surly you have....
Tina: Come on of course I do,so see you around your place at 4?
Marun: Mhm.
Tina: Ok and don't worry I'll actually be on time alright.
Marun: Mhm no worries.
Tina: Bye Muffin.
Marun: Bye T-Tina.
Marun walked away very nervous and guilty.
Marun: (normal) Well at least it can't be any worse.
Soon Marun received a text from Brenda.
Brenda: Hey bro staying at a friend's house have fun, and remember to try and keep your promise.
Marun:Ok hope you have a good time.
Marun: Come on Marun what can possibly go wrong?
Marun walked home by himself nervously and panicked about what might unfold.
