I walk around the compound after not being able to get to sleep, i catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and see how exhausted i looked.
I walk to the kitchen and start making myself a coffee to try and help me sleep,i grab my book that i've been reading and started reading whilst having small sips of my hot drink.
After 2 hours of my reading i finally go up to my bedroom.
3 hours later-
*BEEP BEEP BEEP* i roll over and turn off my alarm and groan,it's 7 am right now and the whole avengers and me have a mission today,i grab some sports leggings and a hoodie to go to a group meeting with everyone.
I walk into the meeting room and grab a smoothie that was on the side for everyone to help themselves, i sit beside peter and we all start taking in information about this new mission.
My eyes start to shut half way through the meeting until i get rudely woken by files getting slammed down onto the desk,i jolt up and see tony shaking his head at me.
After getting dressed we all get into the jet going to the hydra base, i sit over by nastasha as it's the only free seat left,i slouch down and put my head in my hands trying not to fall asleep. "coffee ?" i hear natasha ask with a small smile on her lips, i chuckle a little at her trying her best to help me "i would literally marry someone if they handed me a coffee right now" i sigh and lean back, "well then let me see what i can do" Natasha speaks whilst getting up from her seat.
As i watch her walking back i realise how much i have a crush on her,well a little crush,me and nat always flirt a little but she never actually shows any attention to me well anyone in fact she just sticks to herself,but she is definitely who i would want to be with if i ever could make the decision.
Natasha comes back with a coffee in her hand and hands it to me with a smirk,i thank her and she says with a grin on her lips "so when's the wedding?" she says in a serious tone,i shoot her a confused look and she rolls her eyes "oh well you said you would marry anyone who brought you a coffee and i did so you owe me" she playfully nudges me in the side.
i let out a laugh and before i can come back with a comment back a wave of sickness hits me and i lean back into my seat. "everything okay y/n?" Natasha speaks observing me, "yes i'm good just flying makes me kinda sick" i say lying through my teeth "and i didn't catch much sleep last night" i sigh and she gives me a pity smile, "dont fight if you're tired y/n,i don't want you getting injured" she says resting her hand upon my upper thigh,i squeeze my legs together and then i realise what i just did "god i'm sorry i was just... getting into a more comfortable position?" i say but more like stumbling over my lie, she leans into me and move my hair away from my ear "oh you're so easy to make nervous" she whispers.
i freeze not knowing how to react,after a couple of seconds i go to look at her but she's acting normal on her phone.
finally we get the the location,i stumble up to the front and my vision is starting to go blurry,i trip back a little and Romanoff's hands come in contact to my waist and her strong grip holds me up,i quickly apologise thankfully the rest didn't notice how i nearly blacked out.
I quickly follow Bucky out not wanting to get a lecture from Nat on how i need to sit out this mission.We get into hydras base and start taking out multiple men.
I army crawl into the control room and take out 5 men,one by one i look up at all the cctv and see everyone doing okay except i see Natasha going up against 20 bodyguards i quickly unlock all the doors and go running to the room i saw she was in.
when i walk in it was empty all i could see was blood all against the walls,i look around trying to see if Natasha is in the heap of body's that lied all piled up in a corner of the room. I drop all of my weapons when i see a dead body with ginger hair,i fall onto my knees and lift the body,tears flow out of my eyes,i move all the hair out of the unidentified bodys face and i let out a gasp once i realised it wasn't Natasha.
I go to grab my gun from the ground until i realised it was gone,i look up and see nat with a cut lip and blood all over her face holding it "really shouldn't leave your weapon on the ground" she smirks but pants after being that worn out, "i-i thought you were dead.. i saw you on-on the cctv and... and ...you were against so many then i came in and thought you were that ..person" i speak trying not to burst into tears.
"it's okay shh it's okay,listen y/n i need you to go help the others i'll go get the jet" she speaks fast and passes me my gun,i nod understanding i'm still in a mission and can't let anything distract me.
I go to help everyone else,after many punches and kicks to my face we finally grab the information and kill the last soldier.
I limp into the jet and collapse onto the ground and just let out a sigh,i push my body up against the wall and go to shut my eyes for some sleep after that mission.Footsteps come towards me and i hear a faint sound of Tony telling me not to close my eyes but i can't help it.
After 2 hours i finally wake up and see i'm still in the jet on the floor but i look up and see natasha asleep but using her thigh as a pillow for me,i slowly sit up and remember how many punches i took and let out a soft grunt.
"good job today kid,really impressed" Cap speaks handing me a glass of water, "thank you steve,how long do we have left" i croak "another 4 hours" wanda says bandaging my arm "thank you wanda" i smile and me and her speak for a while.
Natasha stirs awake and instantly sits up straighter "where's y/n" she says in a serious voice.
"i'm here" i say walking towards her handing her a coffee with a smirk on my lips she rolls her eyes and hugs me "i'm never letting you out of my sight again i thought i lost you"she says kissing my forehead.
"don't worry i'm here" i reassure the russian falling into her embrace.
Maybe she does show a bit of interest in me after all.
