"Is what you want me to say right?" He sarcastically says.

My jaw drops in shock and confusion.

Does he think this is a joke??

He starts laughing, but it's not a normal laugh. It's a very cold and cruel laugh.

I stood there embarrassed and shocked at his actions while he laughed away.

"Don't tell me you actually got your hopes up?" He continued to laugh.

I reply with silence.

"I thought you'd know me well enough by now" he states as his laugher starts to die down.

*Slap*

I gave him one hard slap across his face with my cold hand, it left a red print.

He stopped and he looked at me shocked.

"Don't ever talk to me again" I sternly said as I felt tears building in my eyes.

I could see his face change to a stone cold expression he said nothing.

I turned around and walked away, he didn't try and stop me.

But at this point I really didn't care if he stopped me and fired me.

Because I'm not going to have this anymore.

It's not that I got my hopes up, it's more the embarrassment of thinking he would actually apologise.

That's what I got my hopes up for.

But instead he does this.

It's clear he actually doesn't care about anything, as long as everything goes in a way that's convenient for him.

I'm done putting up with him, I felt terrible as I traveled home.

Got in bed and went straight to sleep in my work clothes.

What a long day.

*At work the next day*

I walked into the office as usual and sat on my seat.

Childe didn't say a word to me either.

I didn't even look up at his desk or even in his direction. He didn't make much of an effort to talk to me anyway.

*Knock*

"Come in" I hear him shortly say.

I peak up at the door and see Akio walk int with a smile.

"Ah Akio, what is it?" Childe says in a relaxed manner.

"I just needed you to sign some stuff, in your own time of course" he says cheerily.

He then stops to look at me.

"Y/n if you could just scan though this with him, to save time and then-" But he gets cut off before he could finish.

"Just give them to me" Childe reaches his hand out as he roughly says.

Akio gives an awkward look as he looks at both of us.

"Is everything okay?" He slowly asks.

"Everything is fine Akio, don't worry" I say sweetly as I give a small smile.

"If you say so y/n" He says whilst looking at me skeptically as he hands the papers to Childe.

Shortly after he says goodbyes and heads out the door closing it behind him.
