It was only meant to be a one night stand, and yet nine months later you were brought into the world. At first Fernando was mortified by the news, how could he let this happen, but now you were the light of his life, shining more and more everyday.

Growing up around your father you aspired to be just like him and with the natural talent you obviously inherited and the constant coaching and guidance from Fernando, you'd made it to an international level by the age of 16. The Spaniard was immensely proud that you, his daughter which he'd created, was just like him and already signed to be competing in F2 next year. You had a promising future and showed signs of a fruitful career, much like your predecessor.

So when the opportunity arose for you both to partake in Le Mans this year, you were overjoyed, knowing that your father daughter duo would be unstoppable. The close bond between you two was recognised by critics and motorsports world wide and there was already talk of an exciting race this year, especially now both Alonso drivers where hoping to partake. You were honoured to be driving in the oldest endurance racing event in the world, even more so that you had the privilege of doing it with your father.

Excitement brewed inside you as you crossed off the days on your calendar until the event, your eagerness overflowing every time you spoke to Fernando. He was thrilled to see you so engaged with the sport he'd grown up to love, recognising his spirit within you from his younger self. Although he once thought of you as a careless mistake his passion for you was immense, and you had felt his love regularly throughout your childhood. History, hellish events, and high speeds are the key ingredients that make the 24 Hours of Le Mans the world's greatest sports-car race. It is both famous and infamous for the triumphs and tragedies that have occurred there, and yet all you could think about was how excited you were.

Strategy, teamwork, and great driving skill are just as important as a car's reliability and technological edge, but luckily these were all qualities you and your father held. With an amazing car and yourselves to drive it, spectators and critics alike were expecting a good performance from the Alonso team. At 3pm local time, the race started, history runs deep at the Circuit de la Sarthe, the name of the 8.5-mile temporary course that roars to life in the sleepy French countryside every June. And a similar fire was lit inside of you, all teams must rotate three drivers through the car during the race, with no one driver behind the wheel for more than a total of 14 hours, and you had been selected to start the race for your team and then later provide a promising finish.
