"Yah, no. Don' go thru dwarves mine!" Lucien butted into the ended conversation as Crowley already left. Lucien is waving his hands around, seemingly avoiding physical contact with Ace, Deuce, Grim, and Yuu.

"Eh~? Who's this? Looks like a pushover to me, pfft." Ace smirked maliciously.

"Shh! He's a senpai." Yuu harshly whispered as he quickly stomped into Ace's foot. "Ow, hey! What was that for?"

"Are you perhaps... Lucien Valentin? -senpai." Deuce swallowed some of his saliva. He's somehow hopeful although a bit nervous.

"Eh? You know him?" The other three asked synchronously meanwhile the said senpai started to think deeply. How did the freshman know him? Deuce is a little taken aback by the sudden attention, "Er, well, our house warden talked about him during the welcoming party. It is stated that Lucien Valentin should be respected during his time in NRC, and Heartslabyul students should attend to his needs. It is a wish from the former Heartslabyul dorm leader, Alfred Millian."

"Blah, blah, blah. You hear that buzzing, furball?" Ace is cleaning his ear canal with his pinky. "Why, you- ugh!"

"Whaaa- Red-senpai said 'at?" Lucien exclaimed, his tone almost sounding as if he was about to cry. "Was I worthee-"

"But Lucien-senpai, we have to go to the mine or else we will have no other choice-" and how can I say that my mom? Deuce tried to communicate everything as calmly as possible.

"Hmp." What the-? Their senpai just tried to act cute or is it their imagination? Who taught him that- it's no use at all. They can't see the cuteness because of his hood! "Funny, sure eh, senpai'll company ya'll. lessgo!"

And that's how five of them ended up in this scenario, "Oh, there's a house back there. Let's ask about the mine."

"Nye nye nye~" Lucien whispered, mocking Ace. Inside the old cottage, while everyone is idly talking, Lucien already lined up four cleaned small chairs that become occupied in a blink of an eye. Like a strict mother, Lucien instructed the four to wait for him while he finishes their objective.

"As you need to, you lowly henchmen-" "Lucien-senpai! There's a catch, right? Why are you helping us? Do you need something in exchange?" Yuu is wary of him in the first place. "O-oi, Yuu." Deuce is loss for words. Deuce already thought about that too, but he decided not to mention it. He's alright with anything, he can be his lackey, punching bag, or whatever just so he won't be expulsed. However, in Ace's perspective, he didn't think of anything at all, it's an upperclassmen's job to take care of their lowerclassmen. Right?

Lucien sighed deeply while taking off his cloak, he then wraps it around Yuu. "I never 'ought of taking... advantage." a soft glint of sadness shown can be felt within Lucien's glowing eyes. "You can 'ave that; I have a spare." Those are the words he left before leaving.

They waited for a minute.

A minute.

Another minute.

And some more.

"Did he ditch us or something? That sissy pants!" Ace exclaimed tiredly, "Come on, let's get over with this already." they stood up to leave. That's when Lucien came back with the magic crystal in his hands. He looks around to see no one inside the small house. He remembered a sad memory, yet he smiled. 'It's all okay now.'

Maybe they left? No way. They must've gone into the mine! Lucien run as the mine is a little far away from the house. "Please, even just a second early. Please, please," he whispered while frantically running. The old memories overwhelmed his mind, overtaking his mental state in his process of running. It was when he realized he is crying when he felt some liquid flowing against his neck. Lucien felt relief when he saw the entrance of the mine, the faceless monster restrained with a cauldron whilst the other four is about to enter inside.

"Ngh, I told ya'll to wait for me, ffgk." Lucien sobs and his knees fell to the floor. The atmosphere went weird. It's suddenly pulled around the essence of negativity.

"L-lucien-senpai!?"

"ffnga- It's all Ace's fault! 'ttebayo."

"What the truck?! I did nothing!"

Yuu stared at the kneeling figure. Why the underworld is he crying? Suddenly, the senpai throws something at Deuce. It's a magic crystal! Lucien stood up and went near the faceless monster, "Funny to meet ya again. Just... rest."

His hands glowed a faint neon color of mint green, and the monster shrieked and disappeared into ashes.
