the usual

Today is the ninth of September, and although Leona traded foods with him earlier he is nowhere to be seen during lunchtime. FREAKING FINALLY. Lucien was trembling with joy as he ordered 'the usual' even if he would just obtain some random dish from the menu but let's ignore that. After finally devouring something he ordered, Lucien leisurely walked back to classes.

Lucien's next class is potionology. Eff.

Is it today? He thinks it is! They have a practical test today! It's no time for walking leisurely! If he arrived twenty minutes early he'll be able to recheck his notes! Although time is constantly moving, Lucien still walked albeit not leisurely.

Know the difference.

"Let us begin, my puppies," Professor Crewel firmly stated as he hit his table with his pointer. "I had drilled the instructions into your head, cheating is not tolerated. Now, show me the results of your training."

That's kinda hot, especially the potion that Lucien is brewing. Everyone is focused and making progress whilst Lucien is left confused. Is this room originally this hot? He only noticed just now. Although they already went to the laboratory several times the air today is heavy.

Hazy, Lucien's vision is on spirals. Just what is happening to him?

Today is the thirteenth of September. Four days. Four days that Lucien is missing. Leona Kingscholar did not know if he should be bothered by the fact that Lucien's cats were also nowhere to be found. He kept looking. Although it may seem that he's only taking casual glances and seemingly not caring he is still trying to look for the missing male. Of course, Leona noticed the disappearance since he had been tailing Lucien for three days. Leona just happened to take his eyes off Lucien and now he's gone. Of course. Of course.

Leona did feel something was off, he wouldn't want Lucien to cause more trouble. Prevention is better than more problems. One thing unusual was Lucien's food from the cafeteria. One thing that Leona trusts the most is his gut feeling although he did nothing about certain things most of the time.

Trading with Lucien's food was part of the plan. That dimwit has no awareness, letting off his guard after getting trapped in some room.

Leona knows damn well that he isn't usually this thoughtful about others but the memory of Loki calling him dad was constantly playing on his head like a contagious virus.

"Roi des Lions," Leona knows this nickname too well. Another bastard is here.

"What?" Leona asked in a low voice as he continued walking.

"Ah, you noticed it too, right? The professors are acting strange," Rook Hunt said maliciously behind a smile.

"You act strange but luckily I don't care enough," Leona berated not convinced that the professors had something to do with Lucien's disappearance. If Lucien did happen to report that he's being bullied, his guardians must have been the ones who requested to take him out of this school.

"Right, we're not in Harry Potter to question every prof that acts sus," Cater who's there the whole time finally spoke. "But real talk, how did Lucien disappear without breadcrumbs?"

"What breadcrumbs?" Leona was close throwing his hands.

"Traces, duh," Cater said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"Have those two annoying siblings noticed anything?" Leona inquired about the Millan siblings.

"Not that I heard of," Cater shrugged.

"How about Vil?"

"Non," Rook answered.

"I got to go, I still have to catch up on some classes," Cater spoke.

"Figured. Go away, you're no use," Leona walked away before he could hear Cater's answer.

"Senpai, did you just call me stupid?" Cater's voice was fading away because of the distance, "I hope Karen calls you off!"

On the other side, Vil was looking around the dormitory for some clues using Rook as the messenger to inform Leona, after all, Leona was the one who initiated all of this.

It was night on the ninth of September when Leona barged into the Pomefiore dormitory looking for Lucien, at first Vil did not believe that Lucien was beaten up and locked in a room since that guy is so sneaky and it's difficult to spot him.

Vil and Leona almost argued in the corridor not until Vil questioned Leona, "Are you stalking Lucien?"

Silence overtook the facility as the two faced each other. "That's none of your business."

Then again, Lucien is one genuine friend and it's hard for Vil to accept this information. The two parties came to a conclusion and decided to help one another in looking for Lucien.

For three days, Vil looked around the dorm for any signs of Lucien. Great, Lucien's room was left untouched and there were no signs of anything being moved for the past few days. Everything is in its place, similar to the one in Vil's memory.

Of course, Antoine and Alfred also noticed the lack of Lucien's presence. On daily occasions, they would greet Lucien whenever they walked past each other in the hallways but these days seemed different.

Fortunately, they were not the only ones who noticed but also Cater.

Of course Idia did not notice anything strange, three consecutive days of not talking to Lucien is nothing. Buh.

Among those who were looking for Lucien, Malleus was calm, maybe Lucien finally decided to take some rest, especially when they were writing the essay. Lucien was a total mess that day. Maybe Lucien was just chilling somewhere.

On the other hand, in the Valentin household, three days ago.

"A professor in NRC called me about Lucien," Lucius Valentin started during the dinner. Only Luce Valentin was present at the dining table. It was already late, Lumiere Valentin and Lite Valentin had gone to sleep. Lucifer Valentin and Licht Valentin have some work.

"You? What? I thought Lucifer and his spouse were listed as his guardians," Luce said seemingly interested.

"No, since they're both busy most of the time," Lucius said as he took a bite of the meat. "Anyway, Lucien was food poisoned and they were investigating what happened. Also, Lucien has a fever. His temperature is over forty degrees Celsius."

"Isn't that dangerous? Was he brought to the hospital?" Luce inquired as he slowly lost his appetite.

"Oh, he's under Divus-senpai's care. Since his expertise is potionology he offered his help to Lucien knowing that he's our brother," Lucius calmly ate his meal.

"What! Divus-senpai?! The one that you admire so much? Didn't know he was teaching at NRC! Since when? Damned, you're getting so old! Sucks!" Luce laughed.

"Luce I'm only three years older than you," Lucius sighed.

"Tsk, and you're fourteen years older than Lucien!" Luce talked back.
