"What's wrong, Mia?" Owen asked barely casting her a glance as he continued to drive.

"They hate me, don't they?" She asked holding her stomach. "Take me home, Owen, please."

Owen put the car in park as he pulled up to the gate. "Go around Mr. Taylor, we will be in in a few, I need to have a discussion with Mia," he said into his phone then hung up. A few seconds later North drove past and the gate shut again. "Why would you think they hate you?"

"You know why," she glared. "Don't talk to me like I'm stupid."

"Watch your tongue Little Girl," he frowned.

"I can't since it's in my mouth," she retorted. "Common sense, Mr. Blackbourne."

"Mia that's two," he warned.

Mia sighed and got out of the car, "You can't do this to me right now, Mr. Blackbourne. It's not fair."

"I did not talk to you in a disregarding manner Mia," Owen said getting out of the car. "I seriously want to know why you would think they would dislike you."

"Hate, Mr. Blackbourne, I said hate," she sighed as she dropped her arms to her side. "And they have every right to. I hurt you! I...I...ARG!"

"Are you dropping, Darling?" Owen asked watching her as she paced. "Or are you just nervous?"

"STOP BEING SO CALM TO ME, MR. BLACKBOURNE!" She threw her purse at him, "BE MAD! BE LIVID! I KNOW THEY ARE!" She swung to the house, "and now you're punishing me by making me face them. By having dinner with them and then staying in the house with them and their anger towards me while I'm trying to work!"

"No," he shook his head and took a step forward to her, but she just stepped back so he remained still. "Why would I punish you? Please explain to me what is going on."

She sighed, "Just take me home, please, I don't feel well."

"Then let's go inside and have Dr. Green take a look at you," he said opening the passenger door.

"I don't want to be around so much anger Owen!" she shouted. "You aren't listening to me!"

"No one is mad at you, Mia," Owen shook his head. "Tell me why you think we are."

"I HURT YOU!" she shouted.

"And I hurt you by making it to where you couldn't trust or talk to me," he replied back, "you felt like you had to run instead of talking to me. I didn't protect you from our ex like I should have. I hurt you more than you hurt me, but it's all in the past. None of them hate you, Mia, I promise. No one is mad at you, we understand, I promise we do." He took a step towards her and internally sighed when she didn't move away from him. He took another step then another as he watched her watch him. "No one is mad, Darling, I promise. I love you, Mia."

"I...I...I..." She gripped his jacket as she began to tremble. "I think I'm dropping."

"I think you are," Owen nodded as he pulled her into a hug. "It's okay, Darling. Everything is okay."

"I'm sorry," She burst into tears. "I'm sorry."

"I know," He sighed as he undid her bun and began running his fingers through her hair. "You have no reason to be sorry but I know you need to hear it, I forgive you, My Darling."

She tensed up and gripped his jacket tighter, "Owen..."

He quickly grabbed her hair and shifted just in time as her chest jerked then she began throwing up. "Let it out," he said as he held her upright. "There you go."

Feeling his phone vibrate, he quickly grabbed it and looked Marc is making soup, he can put it in containers if you need to take her home.

No, she needs to know that you don't hate her.

Why in the hell would we hate her?

For hurting me.

Please convince her to come inside.

I'm working on it, Dr. Green.

Owen slid his phone back in his pocket and kissed the top of her head, "Come along, Darling, let's get you inside so you can rinse out your mouth."

"Yes Sir," she mumbled as he took a few steps back while still holding her. Once he got to the car, he helped her back into the seat then got in the driver seat. The gate opened and he started driving again. Just as he parked, she whimpered.

"I'll go speak to the guys and you will go lay in my room."

She smiled weakly yet gratefully at him, "thank you."

"Of course," he gave her that signature millimeter smile of his then went inside. She took a deep breath and slowly let it out shakily. Just as she was taking another one, he came back out and opened the door for her. "Come along, Darling, you need to go lay down."

"What about my work?" she asked as she placed her hand in his.

"No work, Mia," he frowned, "it will wait until tomorrow." She nodded and followed him into the house. Sure enough no one was around but she knew they were close by because she could hear voices coming from the kitchen. He led her upstairs and she smiled internally when she stepped into a room that was just so Owen. He pulled the blanket back and she slipped her shoes off and placed them at the foot of the bed. He took her bag from her and sat it by the desk with setting her purse on the desk. She headed to the bathroom and began rinsing her mouth out. When she came out, he handed her one of his shirts and kissed her cheek, "Lay down, I'll go get you some soup." When he came back she was fast asleep holding his blanket close to her face. He sat the soup down on the nightstand, kissed her forehead and smiled, "Everything will be okay, Darling, I promise," he whispered watching her sleep for a few moments before leaving the room.
