"Andiamo." Zaviano and Angelo follow behind me in their crisp Armani. A necessity for business meetings. Nothing less will do. There's nothing like the feel of good quality fabrics wrapped around your skin.

It isn't often that I see Angelo in anything other than loungewear or jeans. I'm sure he complained and cursed me all morning for getting him in something other than Nike. As long as he doesn't whine in front of my face I take no issue with his dissatisfaction. The twins surely would have given him grief over his predicament if they weren't away at school. A fight would ensue.

Relief fills me at their absence. As much as I love having them home I'm more than pleased that they're in the city tucked away. They have the rest of their lives to partake in business. Getting the full college experience is a once in a life opportunity. Experiencing the world in its entirety is what she always wanted. I can feel it. I promised I would do right, give them the life she envisioned, the one she planned. The one they would have if she were still here. They deserved every bit of happiness mamma had hoped for. I would rather slit my own wrists before not fulfilling her wishes.

Our meeting is taking place at La Roe, an upscale restaurant not too far from Bianchi Corp's main building. Today we'll decide if Cameron fits our needs as senator. On paper he is perfect. Translating that to the reality of who he may be isn't always a smooth transition. Weeding him out sooner rather than later will help in our mission. WIll he be someone who can handle my bidding? Will he live up to my expectations of becoming whatever I need at the time? Someone discrete with their vices, unlike a certain jailed ex-senator. Personal proclivities didn't matter to me provided that it doesn't make national fucking news. If he did coke straight from an IV it would have no bearing to me. Public reputation is the only concern. If he can keep a clean image let him do whatever he pleases. A win-win situation. Golden boy gets his dream position and my affairs return back in order.

La Roe's interior consists of cream colors and extravagant centerpieces. Bordering the line of extremism it isn't gaudy. For Cameron's character it does shed light.

Giving the hostess my name she leads the boys and I to a private room. Cameron sits on one side of the rectangular table next to who I assume to be his lawyer. The Bianchi family lawyer Earl, has already arrived and nods at our entrance.

"Good morning gentlemen." Cameron gives his best smile, that much for sure is clear.

Politicians. Undoubtedly his father has probably been preparing him for this sort of position since he could speak. Dollar signs run rampant in his greedy little eyes as he looks at us. Itching to get his hands on a contract and a pen he doesn't care much about the consequences. Once he signs the dotted line he will be mine, and I'll make sure he follows every rule, order, and command I give. Willingly or not. "Thank you for meeting with me, I know your schedules are busy."

I brush off his statement with my own silence. Small talk with this man disinterests me to no end. It is a waste of my time. Who cares about the weather or the traffic, this is strictly business. "Now, Mr.Dane. Bianchi Corp is very interested in backing your campaign. As you know Bianchi Corp. has backed the last four senators New York has seen." Angelo sends me a look that says look where that has gotten us.

Hell. It has brought us nothing but hell. The mayhem left in the wake from the last senator is what pushed me to become more hands on. While it was nothing my family did specifically, everything still affected us greatly. Those little facts are pertinent in my decision making.

"Please, call me Cameron, Mr.Bianchi. Your support and Bianchi Corp's support is much welcomed and appreciated. Now what can we do to seal the deal?" His excitement is too much to not laugh at, if only he knew who we truly were. Externally getting in bed with us is a career guarantee but there's always a price to pay with that kind of power. Then again, politicians rarely care about those consequences so long as they keep their own pockets fat.
