Chapter 36

Ares's Pov

I slammed my hands on the table and scream in anger, oh. Delia you really made a big mistake of running from me, you may run and hide but remember you will always end up in my arms.

One of the servants hesitates on giving me the note, I throw the glass on the floor and making the piece of it hit one of the servant's arm. Making her scream in pain "GIVE IT TO ME" I roared my voice, the injured servant gave the letter to my hand with her shaky ones.

I took the letter from her hand and opened it roughly before reading every sentence, The servants bit their lip and slowly back away before trying to leave the room without caughting my attention.

But I already knew, what they are escaping. Death. The thought of it made a smirk on my face "halt" I said, making them all stopped walking away. "Did I say you all could leave?" I asked and they all shook their heads while looking down "No, your majesty"

I smirked and looked down at the note, about my mens did not find any sign or appearance of my delia. I clenched the paper and walked towards the shaking servants. "You are all good workers" I said with a smile before putting my hands behind me.

They were shock to see their Prince appreciating their works "T-thank you, your Majesty" One of the servant said while still looking down in respect. "You are free now" I replied, they all nodded and bow down before slowly heading to the door.

"Free from life" I whispered the last sentence before taking my sword out and slicing one of the servant's head making it roll down the bloody floor, Loud screams and gunshots were heard inside my office room then their hands banging the door but it could not open as my mens locked them outside. No one could do anything outside to help, they just listen and watch their other co-servants die inside.

Delia's Pov

I opened my eyes after I slept under the falls as the little kid woke me up "lady, wake up. They're not here anymore" said the kid, I opened my eyes completely and looked around to adjust my eyes.

Standing up slowly as I followed the kid outside the falls, the village is now peaceful and safe "I thought those mens were about to enter this place" I replied, the little kid let out a small laugh "This place has been built by our ancestors, to protect the people from becoming slave."

I gasped in shock "your ancestors? So you've been living here from generation to generation" I asked in surprise, the little kid nodded "long time ago the Prince's ancestor was the one who made my ancestors made this place for the slaves people who escaped. I guess you are a slave who escaped from the King as well?" She asked.

Looking down as I think, should I tell her? I was about to speak when her mother called her out "Marie! Come here lunch is ready!" . "Oh, I guess I'll ask about it later, come lunch is ready" She pulled me up and we both head to the small cottage house.

I sat down on the chair as the woman served a small fish and egg, I smiled "Thank you" The woman smiled back "So, what is your name and where do you live?" She asked observing me, I put the wooden plate down before replying "I'm delia and I am living in the village of xeatreninth" I said.

They both choke in their foods "Xeatreninth?! Who would love to live there, there are a lot of people but many of them are slaves!" She exclaimed, I bit my lip down "Uh no, I just visited a friend from there" I said and the mention 'friend' reminded me of Edmund, a tear slowly forming in my eyes but I held it back.

"I am from the village of Eastborne" At the mention of that peaceful village again that got destroyed by Ares made me even more sadder as a tear fell in my eyes, The woman was shock and patted my hand "I just had the news of that village was destroyed and the people were taken by the Prince of xeatreninth to be a slave"

I covered my eyes and wiped my tears "I escaped" I said lowly through my tears, The woman caressed my hand "You will stay here with us, you are safer here. No one will harm you just like our ancestors said" She replied.

I smiled and nodded before wiping my dry tears "I'm tessa, and this is my daughter marie and we will help you through this pain. We will be all one big family" She said and it made me smile "Thank you, ma'am" I said emotionally and She shushed me "Just tessa, just tessa" She replied.

I chuckled and pulled her into a hug, making her shock but slowly hugging me back as I cried in her arms. I wanna erase everything that Ares have done but I cannot, he destroyed every happiness in this world and I cant expect myself to erase those because there were the most painful moments.

But I am just in a story book, Why do i feel sad and hurt for the people here. They are not real, everything here is not real. But I feel a big hole in my heart that made me feel every little thing of pain in this story book than the reality itself.

Scarlett's Pov

After Delia's disapperance, Ares has been more even crueler than before. Killing people who disturbs his hunting for Delia, gosh. Where did that bun go? She disappeared like a thin of air. I dont know why but I feel like there is something weird about Ares and Delia.

I just feel like they had a special relationship they shared that made Ares this angry and desperate of looking for Delia, but I know they won't do that especially when Delia knows that I am getting married with Ares then she'd back off.

But I know she would never ever do it and betray me, She's my only close friend to talk with. I took my thoughts out and looked around the dark office room of Ares, there were no torches nor light but it was so smelly. I ignored it and continued to walked straight and I feel like stepping something wet and soft large rocks on the ground.

Now, why would Ares put large rocks on the ground? I kept walking straight and reaching my hand out as I feel the curtains in my hand, I quickly opened and split them together. Making the room brighter cause of the sun reflecting the big windows.

I turned around and what I saw was a nightmare that made me scream so loud like never before, I covered my mouth to see servants and guards bodies laying lifelessly on the ground and the floor was filled with dried and fresh red bloods.

I almost puke so I covered my mouth tightly with my palm, what happened here! Oh gosh, I need to call Ares! I walked to the door and was about to open it but someone beated me to it, Ares was standing infront of me as soon as the door was opened.

"What are you doing here?" He asked with his dangerous changed of voice, I looked into his appearance and he looks like he never get to sleep for 1 seconds and his hair was messy. "Ares, wh-" I stopped asking as soon as my eyes gazed down at his hand holding a sword that has fresh red stained bloods dripping down the floor from the sword.

It was fresh blood, I backed away from him slowly "Ares, p-put that down" I said carefully not to piss him off, Ares moved slowly to me "Where is delia?" He asked, The question snapped me out. "I-I don't know" I stuttered and he raised his bloody sword up angrily "Where is she?!" He screamed.

I flinched, he has gone insane! What did Delia even do to him! "I really dont know, p-please put the sword down" I said lowly and softly, Ares breathe heavily "I dont like liars and liars dont deserve the life" He said before raising his sword with his hand, I widened my eyes and held my hand out to my face in protection before screaming.
