Growing up in a posh upbringing was never new to me. I grew up with a silver spoon in a gated community. I had always been priviliged my whole life, hindi kailanman ako namroblema kung may pera o may makain ba ako bukas. I have always been pampered with all the luxury.

But how does my perfect life seems so lacking?

I had everything everyone wished to have, but I guess may kulang sa buhay ko. There is one thing I know I couldn't have... a complete and perfect family.

I am the only daughter of the ex-couple Irene Marcos and Greggy Araneta. I was the unexpected twist of their past, and I'm the reason why they're gonna be connected for lifetime. They broke up when I was 2, not even matured enough to understand things.

"What are you reading?" tanong ni Mommy habang nasa sasakyan kami papuntang school.

"Just a little review for our test later," sagot ko.

"Hmm... You're too silent, babe, it's making me uncomfortable. Are you alright, baby?" bahid sa boses ni Mommy ang pag-aalala.

"I'm alright, Mommy." malamig kong sagot.

Narinig ko ang pagbuntong-hininga niya. "Vida... You've seen your Dad's new girlfriend's post? Is that why you're unusually silent, babe?"

Nilingon ko si Mommy at hindi siya sinagot. My eyes are tearing up. My hopes are slowly breaking. Nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa na magbabalikan pa ang magulang ko. Pinipilit ko namang intindihin eh, pero masakit pa rin...

I didn't wish for this all of this luxury, I wanted to have a whole complete family. That's what's my life's been lacking.

I kissed Mommy goodbye before getting out of the car, narinig ko pa ang pagbukas ng window.

"I'll pick you up later, babe... Do well, love you, Vida." She waved at me. Pinilit kong ngumiti at kumaway kay Mommy.

"I'll go ahead, Mom. Love you," sabi ko at tumalikod at naglakad na paloob ng skwelahan.

While, I was walking down the hallway, a lot of people greeted me. I wasn't in the mood to wave back or even greet them with a smile. This is such the worst morning I had in my 16 years of existence.

"V!" I heard my bestfriend, Ara. Tinanguan ko lang siya at ngumiti.

She sat down beside me, "What's with your face? Bad morning for the princess, huh?"

I shrugged and picked my textbook from my bag dahil nandito na ang professor namin sa first subject. This must be the worst day, I wasn't satisfied with my performance at school today, hindi ako masyadong naka-participate.

"What's wrong with you, Vida? You seem so occupied, it's so shocking na may mali kang isa sa quiz natin ngayon... But don't worry, hindi 'to makakaapekto sa grades mo, ito ang unang beses na nagkamali ka tas isa pa talaga." sabi ng professor namin sa third subject.

Shit. Isang mali? Is this day getting any better? Mas lalong lumalala! A lot of mistakes in the quiz are better than having one!

I ignored him since yesterday, since I saw his new girl's post.

Dad:
Mi Vida
Why aren't you answering my calls and texts?
No updates from my baby girl?

Hey, you home now? Or you want Dad to pick you up?
Mi Vida, update dad please
You're not answering my calls and texts, Dad's worried
