"How about rose gold, Tita?" sagot ni Vida nung tinanong siya ni Anne kung ano ang maganda na kulay para sa bridesmaids.
"Oo nga, maganda rin 'yun." pag kokonsidera ni Anne.
"Just put it on your list and ask Dad,"
Umuwi na si Vida sa bahay ni Irene nang matapos ang lakad nila ni Anne. They looked for shops and boutiques, even designers, just to get the perfect dresses for the entourage.
Greggy was also looking for the perfect outfit as a groom. Patuloy pa ang pasesend out nila ng invitation para sa kasal, ang entourage nila ay hindi pa rin kumpleto.
Hannah will be Anne's maid of honor. And since walang makuha si Greggy na best man, they decided to change the usual tradition, Vida will be Greggy's best girl.
Vida dropped by a near fastfood chain and brought food for Vico. Hindi siya nakapagpaalam kanina dahil maaga siyang umalis. Her little brother must be looking for her when he woke up.
"Oh. You're here... Vico! Ate's here," anunsyo ni Irene nang makita si Vida na papasok sa pinto.
Agad namang nakita ni Vida ang kapatid na tumatakbo galing sa kusina. Vico rushed towards her and hugged her tight. Vida handed him the food, bahid sa mukha ni Vico ang sobrang kasiyahan.
Napansin ni Vida ang lungkot sa mukha ng ina. Hindi ito masyadong nagsasalita. Patuloy lang ito sa paglilinis at pag-aayos ng gamit.
"Continue eating, magbibihis lang si Ate..." paalam ni Vida sa kapatid. Vico nodded and continued eating.
Bago pa siya umakyat sa hagdan, nagsalita si Vida. "May pagkain dun, baka gusto niyong kumain..."
Her mother just looked at her and smiled, tumango lang rin ito at nagpatuloy sa pagva-vacuum.
She went to her room and changed. She received a text message from her grandfather, asking if nagkausap na ba sila ni Irene.
She's been distant to them. Pagod na siyang makinig sa sinasabi nila na paulit-ulit na dapat na niyang patawarin ang Mommy niya. They're the ones who should decide that. Siya dapat 'yon.
Kahit ang Daddy niya, hindi pwedeng makapagsabi kung kailan niya mapapatawad at handang pakinggan ang Mommy niya.
Days went by quickly, the weekend is over. Papasok na sa iskwela si Vida and Kyd is expected to come home this week.
"Ingat, Ate! Bye bye!" Vico waved her hand before Vida could get in the car.
"Bye, bub!" kumaway pabalik si Vida kay Vico.
"Ingat, anak!" sabi ni Irene. Vida ignored her at pumasok agad sa sasakyan niya. Irene sighed and held Vico's hand so that they could come inside.
Pinakain niya ng agahan si Vico. Hindi na sila nagsabay ng Ate Vida niya kasi kakagising niya lang nung natapos nang kumain si Vida. Vida needs to be early dahil may gagawin pa raw sila.
"Mommy," malambing na tawag ni Vico sa ina.
"Yes, honey?" sagot ni Irene habang sinasalinan ng pagkain ang plato ni Vico.
"When will Daddy come follow us?"
"This week, babe. Daddy called the other day and he'll come home to us this week." bumilog ang mata ni Vico sa kasiyahan at pumalakpak. Irene smiled at her little boy.
"Yay!" sigaw nito habang pumapalakpak.
"Are you excited to see Daddy again?"
"Yes, Mommy!" sabi nito habang malaki ang ngiti.
