Episode 44: Elimination

Hey guys, here is your chapter! I have been very busy today. I got my French exam tomorrow and I'm really nervous about it. Don't think I will be able to sleep to be honest. Wish me luck, love you all and please brighten my day with your comments!

It's in the evening when the islanders get a text to come over to the firepit. They still have their baby's with them.

"Lou, babe. Hurry, we have to go to the firepit!" Harry says calmly when he is in the bathroom. They have taken turns to get ready now so one of them gets to stay with the baby. They are weirdly obsessed with this challenge.

"Just have to wash out the conditioner and I'll be there! You can take Sam with you already if you want, or go for a walk with them. Oh H, don't forget to try to feed them again. They haven't eaten enough."

"Okay, babes. Let's go for a walk, sweetheart." Harry lifts Sam so he can have a good look at them, kisses their forehead and then takes them outside. He has taken a sweater from Louis to put around the baby. It's a bit chilly now.

Half an hour later everybody is sitting around the fire, including the babies.

"It's good to see you all, in real life this time!" Laura smiles. "I assume you had a busy afternoon?"

"It has been the worst." Danielle sighs. "Clearly a sign that motherhood is not calling me yet."

"I feel you." Luke nods. "I'm exhausted. Can't wait to go to bed."

"What are you even complaining? I took care of her most of the time." Eleanor rolls her eyes. "The only thing you have done is feed her once."

"Excuse me! I have-"

"So, I have some news!" Laura interrupts, knowing very well that she will still be there tomorrow if she doesn't intervenes the fight between Luke and Eleanor. "This baby challenge wasn't just any challenge."

That catches everybody's attention. All the islanders are hanging on Laura's lips.

"We have the results of the babies and the couple that has taken care the best of them, is free from elimination tonight. The other four couples get a chance to go home."

Everybody gasps but Laura keeps talking. "The couple that has won the challenge, and are safe tonight is... Louis and Harry!"

Harry shrieks and jumps into Louis' arms, kissing him. Louis can't help but smile in the kiss. He also feels very proud. It's not just any challenge they have won.

"Congratulations, boys! You have done a wonderful job. How did you like the challenge?"

"It was amazing." Harry says honestly. "Seeing Louis with Sam made my heart melt. He's such a good father and I really hope that one day we get to share this experience for real. It's the perfect picture, isn't it? Louis with a baby? I made a picture from it, it's the background of my Love Island phone."

Everybody laughs and Louis blushes, hiding his face in Harry's shoulder.

"What about you, Louis?" Laura asks.

"I have a few siblings so I know what it is to take care of a baby, but it felt scarily real sometimes. It was like I was actually a father and sharing this with Harry makes me look forward to our future together."

Harry kisses Louis' cheek and grabs his hand.

"This isn't your only price, boys." Laura says. "We know that parenting is hard but you two took it very seriously. That's why tonight you get to spend your night together in the Hide Away that will open for the first time this season!"

"Oh my god!" Harry exclaims. "Lou, we finally get privacy!"

Everybody laughs, including Louis. He is happy as well. The six of them have been on each other's lip forever now and some alone time with Harry does sound like heaven.

"Thank you so much." Louis thanks Laura. "I can't wait to spend time alone with my Curly here."

"The two of you deserve it. So, after a lot of good news there is unfortunately also bad news. During the day people at home could vote for their favourite couple again. The couple with the least votes is going home immediately. The couples that are through are named in random order."

The four couples stand nervously next to each other. Camille is biting her nails, very nervous that her time here is up now.

"Who do you think that got the least votes?" Harry whispers to Louis. "There is not one solid couple between them, is there?"

"Maybe Kendall and Cara are solid." Louis answers. "My bet is on Ed and Camille after what happened."

"But isn't that the drama that people love to watch? I think they will keep them in."

"The first couple that will stay on the island is... Eleanor and Luke!"

The two of them look at one another until Luke closes the gap and hugs Eleanor and kisses her cheek. They join Harry and Louis on the other side of the firepit.

"The next couple that is safe... Cara and Kendall!"

The two girls come to their side as well.

"Danielle and Niall, Camille and Ed, one of you two is going home."

Niall holds Danielle's hand, Camille stares at the floor and Ed really looks like he doesn't give a shit anymore.

"The couple that has to leave the island is...

Niall and Danielle."
