Wuxian and Wangji were actually unconscious for a total of three and a half days. Lan Xichen hasn't been this worried in a long time. Yanli wrote to her parents to explain what happened and have just arrived. The boys were still not awake. Lan Xichen had an idea of what was happening and decided it was time he told everyone in the room what was happening...or what had happened. Lan Qiren could even vouch for him because he has already heard Xichen speak of this.

"So you're saying, our daughter has knowledge of this as well as Lan Xichen?" Jiang Fengmian asked, "and A'Xian has been having nightmares of the past few even though he doesn't remember...Wangji fell unconscious for this as well?"

Lan Xichen nodded, "I am not entirely sure why they collapsed, but it might be linked to the past. Depending on when they wake up, and if they can remember, try to tell us what happened during their unconscious state."

"So these event will happen again," Yu Ziyuan said.

"Some of them changed already so that may suggest something to do with cause and effect. Back then, Wei Wuxian was bullied and called son of a servant and he hid his pain from everyone. Now, he has been accepted into Lotus Pier and was adopted. That did not happen last time. So that is one change already," Xichen said, "plus the truth about my mother came out so that was another change. These changes can cause new challenges."

"What happened in the end?" Jiang Fengmian asked, "how did he die?"

Lan Xichen sighed and started to explain the events in as much detail as he could. He started with the moment Wangji and Wuxian went to go look for the yin iron. Fighting the goddess statue and missing the iron by a small amount because of Wen Chao. He spoke of the indoctrination at the Wen Clan and how Wuxian caused trouble to keep others from getting hurt but he felt it just cause him to be blamed for a later event.

He explains how Wuxian helped Wangji with his broken leg..and their first intimate encounter. Seeing that was when Xichen actually realized he didn't read his brother properly. He was in love with Wei Wuxian. He spoke about how they killed Xuanwu the slaughter. Then he spoke of the massacre of Lotus Pier. Yanli was hearing all of this in depth for the first time. She knew of some things and Xichen told her things but Yanli did not know just how much guilt Wuxian was filled with.

"You said Jiang Cheng lost his core to Wen Zhuliu?" Fengmian asked, "what happened after?"

"Wei Wuxian hid with a couple wens who were not apart of Wen Ruohan's schemes, and one of them is named Wen Qing. She is a very smart medical provider, and she had a theory that was not yet proven to work on transfers of golden cores. Wei Wuxian found it and asked Wen Qing to help him try. She told him the chances were only fifty percent and he couldn't use anesthetics. He was awake for a day and two nights, feeling everything."

Yanli's mouth dropped open. She completely missed the part that Wuxian didn't have a core...Xichen said so to her at some point but she didn't catch it properly. Now, she heard it all. Wei Wuxian gave up a cultivator's greatest treasure for his sworn brother. Jiang Cheng's face was hidden in his hands.

"Please tell me I knew of this," Jiang Cheng said.

"He never told anyone, it was a secret that he wanted to take to his grave. He knows how much you value your cultivation and he thought if you knew, you would have a strong reaction to it...a few days after the transfer, he was waiting for Jiang Cheng at the bottom of the mountain at the nearby town. He was captured by Wen Chao and he was beaten up and kicked and thrown around. He then took Wuxian and flew over the burial mounds, and tossed him in. He survived, believe it or not. He started cultivating resentful energy as it was the only way to keep his promise to help and protect his siblings. The second time Wangji and Wuxian were intimate, they bonded. Wei Wuxian panicked because if he died, so would Wangji and vise versa."

Lan Xichen went on and on about Wei Wuxian, how he basically helped win the war with his amulet and after that, people began to berate him for his methods and started calling him terrible things for not carrying a sword anymore. He then spoke of Wei Wuxian's demise and how after his death, Wangji died too. He did say that due to anger and grief, Jiang Cheng caused his final plung into death. Jiang Cheng was furious with himself and even more, he felt ashamed. He knows that he couldn't blame Wei Wuxian because he had no idea what went wrong. Wei Wuxian was innocent and he died for it.

Everyone needed a moment to digest everything. Yanli was so shocked that Xichen knew this much detail. She knows he was probably going to say something to her eventually but it was a lot to take in. Hearing that Wuxian lost everything, was blamed for a crime he didn't commit, and he died, Yanli's heart ached.
