Everyone was sitting there with a bowl of Lotus Roots and Pork Ribs Soup in front of them. For those who know that if Wei Wuxian is in the kitchen, it was dangerous. Yanli did not worry as she had taught him personally how to cook. In this life, she did not want her Didi suffering from not being able to cook properly and know how to prepare spices properly. The only people who knew of this was Yanli and Wangji. Wuxian said to them already he knows how to cook but he was not believed.

"Why is everyone so worried about A'Xian's cooking?" Xichen finally asked, breaking the ice. He knows the rules within his sect, no talking while dining, but for today, they agreed to neglect it. The Jiang's were free spirited people. The Lan's wanted to compromise with them. This was one of those compromises.

"Wei Wuxian's cooking is like poison," Jiang Cheng said, "especially if you don't eat spicy food."

Lan Xichen frowned and looked at the food in front of him, "it looks fine to me," he said.

"Then taste it," Jiang Cheng probed.

Lan Xichen rolled his eyes and took a bite. He found it to be one of the most amazing things he has ever tasted, "it tastes amazing, what are you talking about?" Xichen asked.

Jiang Cheng was confused and took a bite. It was exactly how his Jie makes it, "A'Jie, you made it with him?" He asked.

"He made it with me, along with Wangji. They helped me prepare and cut ingredients," Yanli said, "I told you I taught A'Xian how to properly cook and prepare food. Why is it so hard to believe?"

The others followed suit and took a bite. They seemed to have underestimated Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian pouted, "I feel hurt," he said.

Wangji became alert, "where?" He asked checking him over.

Wuxian giggled, "not physically but I feel hurt that you all assume I am unteachable," he said folding his arms, "assuming I can't learn and just thinking that I don't have feelings."

"I believed you," Wangji said.

"You do not count, you are my soulmate, you are always going to believe in me," he said, "them though, so disheartening."

"I'm sorry XianXian," Jiang Cheng said.

Wei Wuxian looked at him and blinked a couple times, "who are you and what have you done with my brother?" He asked.

"I am your brother," Jiang Cheng said, "I can say nice things you know."

"Since when?" Wuxian asked.

"You!" Jiang Cheng said loudly and stood up only for Madam Yu to grab him and pull him back down to his seat.

"Now, now," she said with a smug grin, "don't let him agitate you. He is only teasing you."

Jiang Cheng pouted. Wen Qing couldn't help but giggle at how cute he looked, "no wonder you are called angry purple lotus," she said.

The Jiang's laughed at her comment, "A'Qing, not cool," Jiang Cheng said.

"What? Am I wrong?" She asked almost as if she was teasing him.

That did not slip past Wei Wuxian, "QingJie, when you said you and Jiang Cheng were going to try again, and give each other another chance, did you mean as friends or something more than friends?" He asked, "I remember long ago in our past, he gave you a comb..."

Wen Qing glared daggers at him, "continue talking and you will have a date with my needles," she said.

"A'Cheng, you like Wen Qing?" Madam Yu asked happily, "she would be perfect for you."
