Back then, Wen Qing was very grateful for everything Wei Wuxian has done for her, her Dafan village, and her brother Wen Ning. When she found out about what happened on Qionqi path, she was told Wuxian had three days to turn himself in. Wen Qing did something very hard for her to handle but she did it. She forced Wei Wuxian to sleep with a needle and left with Wen Ning. She knew her death was imminent

At Lanling, she did not expect Lan Wangji to try and defend her. She did not expect to have them make Wen Ning watch her burn to death. She was half alive and covered in fire when she saw her Didi lose control again. It was not Wei Wuxian's doing, he was not there. Wen Qing died, and her spirit, just like Yanli's saw everything play out. She watched Wei Wuxian break apart with what little was holding him together. That moment his Shijie took that sword, Wei Wuxian was already dead. That flicker of light was gone.

Now Wen Qing is alive again but in the past. She had knowledge but Wen Ning did not. She made subtle statements about the past but Wen Ning didn't understand what she was talking about. That was when she decided to let him not know. This time, she was going to try and get her family safe, that included Wei Wuxian. When she was called upon by Wen Ruohan, she was asked to go attend Cloud Recesses' lectures and look for the yin iron that he wanted.

When she arrived to Cloud Recesses, she didn't bring anything up to Wei Wuxian. Observing from a distance, she could tell that Wei Wuxian did not know, or he acted really well on not knowing. She even noticed some things about him that were different. Wuxian's relationship with his siblings were different, more close. Jiang Cheng wasn't as much of an arrogant person either. He seemed to be much kinder and almost protective of Wei Wuxian. She even saw that Wei Wuxian was in purple robes, and they were just any purple Yunmeng disciple robes. They were robes that would only be worn by an heir.

As much as Wen Qing had issues with Jiang Cheng back then, she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and see just how much he had changed. She noticed that Lan Xichen and Jiang Yanli were spending a lot of time together, which gave Wen Qing the opportunity to seek out Jiang Cheng.

"Jiang Gongzi?" Wen Qing called out.

Jiang Cheng turned around and looked at her. He had that same expression in his eyes as he had back then when they first met; adoration. He liked her, just like last time. She cannot be angry at him entirely, as he did not know anything about what Wei Wuxian had done for him.

"What can I do for you Wen Guniang?" He asked.

"Is your Shixiong available? I am looking for him," she said.

"He isn't my Shixiong anymore, he is my older brother, he is adopted by my family," he said happily, "but if you are looking for him, he has been staying with Lan-er-Gongzi, as they are now courting...I don't know what happened for them to be so close so quickly, but I'm happy for him. He deserves it."

Wen Qing blinked a couple times and pulled Jiang Cheng more to the side so she could speak with him, "do you know of his past?" She asked quietly.

"You remember?" Jiang Cheng asked, "I was told what happened and I am still trying to figure out how to apologize for things that happened...though I don't remember any of it as my memory wasn't transferred over. I'm sorry for ever hurting you Wen Guniang."

Wen Qing smiled at him and wiped his tears away with her hand, "I forgive you...how could you have known if you were never told about anything back then. I wanted to tell you, but as a doctor, I have to keep things confidential, especially if I am told not to disclose it to anyone."

"You and I almost had something back then...are you willing to start over and maybe give each other a second chance?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"I would like that," She answered.

"Thank you," he said, "and, did you want me to take you to see Wuxian?"

"Would you?" Wen Qing asked.

Jiang Cheng smiled at her and nodded. He then lead her over to Wangji's residence where Wuxian has been staying. Jiang Cheng knocked for her and Wangji answered.

"Lan-er-Gongzi, Wen Guniang was wanting to meet with you and Wei Wuxian," Jiang Cheng said.

"You both can come in," Wangji said and moved aside for them.

When Wen Qing entered, he saw Wuxian, Yanli, and Xichen all here. When she spotted Wuxian, she went over to him and knelt beside him and pulled him into a hug.

"A'Ying," she said, "my Er-Di."

"You know?" Wuxian asked quietly.

"I remembered, I know," she says, "I'm just glad to see you."

Lan Wangji cleared his throat as he felt her huh was too long. Wuxian chuckled, "Lan Zhan, she is my Er-Jie. I only want you," he said.

Wen Qing pulled away from the hug, "you know?" She asked.

"Everyone in the room, Shufu, Madam Yu, and Sect leader Jiang," Wangji answered.

Wen Qing sighed, "Zewu Jun, I want you to know that Wen Ruohan still has the same intention. I was told to come again. A'Ning is here but he doesn't have knowledge of the past...if it's possible, I want to keep it that way. But also want you to know that I don't want to do what Wen Ruohan wants me to do...he threatens me by saying he will kill him and those in my village if I do not comply," Wen Qing told him.

"I know," Xichen said, "we have been wanting to speak with you about this for a while, we just haven't had the time."

"Wen Qing, my parents have been making space for you and your village to move in to at Lotus Pier. You will be protected there, especially when you have protective barriers made by A'Xian as well," Yanli told her.

"You are willing to do that?" Wen Qing asked.

"It was my parents idea," Yanli told her, "you and your village are all well trained healers. It would be a shame to let them all suffer a second time."

"Thank you," she said.

"Jiang Cheng, not that we don't mind, but what brings you here?" Wuxian asked.

"Wen Qing asked me to bring her to you...and we are...starting over...slowly I guess," He answered.

"Going to buy her a comb again?" Wuxian asked teasingly.

Wen Qing sighed and pulled out a couple needles, "A'Ying, do you dare to continue?"

Wuxian trembled and climbed into Wangji's lap, "you have to go through Lan Zhan first."

"That wouldn't be too hard," Wen Qing said.

Lan Wangji growled as he was trying to get her to back off, "mine," Wangji told her.

Wen Qing couldn't help but laugh, "oh, I wish I could have told you but you were expecting again when the events of Qiongqi Path happened," she told him.

Wei Wuxian blinked a couple times, "I was pregnant?" He asked.

"I hope you are being smart and careful this time around," Wen Qing told him.

Wuxian nodded, "we are...we are engaged and want to marry first before we go into that step...it's hard but we are committed to it," he explained.

"Good, I do have strong contraceptives though if you want them," Wen Qing offered.

"Later," Wuxian said.

"Can we change the subject please?" Jiang Cheng asked.

"Yes please," Yanli agreed.

"Do you have plans this time around already?" Wen Qing asked.

With that, Wuxian showed Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng his new inventions, gifted them each a Qiankun ring, and gave Wen Qing one to give to Wen Ning. He then used the core protection charm on them to help protect them.
