It had only taken a couple days for Wei Wuxian to finish his new compass. He was happy to be done, but he was a bit angry with himself at the same time. He had a few weeks left when he started, but he lost a couple days by working. He felt he could have made the compass when he was back in Lotus Pier because he wasted time on working instead of spending that time with Wangji.

To Wangji, he still spent time with Wuxian while he worked. Wei Wuxian was in the same room as him, Wangji would be able to help him, assist him when he needed to eat or sleep. Wangji didn't feel that way. He could understand why Wuxian would feel that way though, because his focus wasn't entirely on Wangji but with his work.

Wangji didn't like that his significant other was bashing himself over it. So he would have to do a lot of convincing to assure Wuxian that it was okay. They still had time to spend together and they should make the most of it. They were not splitting up in the end either. Wangji hated it as much as Wuxian did, about being away from his soulmate, but they had to make preparations.

At the moment, Wei Wuxian refuses to move from Lan Wangji's lap. They were sitting at the table in the Jingshi, Wuxian snuggled up close to Wangji. Lan Wangji would not complain as this was his favorite pastime. Being able to hold Wei Wuxian and just be with him. Wangji moved some of Wuxian's hair so his neck was visible and lightly brushed his lips against his skin. Wei Wuxian tilted his head slightly as a chill ran down his back.

"Mnn, you are making it really hard to keep myself under control," Wuxian said, "if we were married, I'd strip you right now and take you."

"Wouldn't that be amazing," Wangji said. His warm breath rushing over Wuxian's neck.

"I am the birth control Wen Qing gave me, but how can we keep holding off," Wuxian said.

"Once we marry, we can anytime you want," Wangji told him.

"Can we at least, get some sort of release if not fully having sex?" Wuxian asked, "you have no idea how bad I want your hands on me."

Wangji placed his hands on Wuxian's Waist, "like this?" He asked.

"More," Wuxian replied.

Wangji trailed his hand down until he reached the bulge of Wuxian's area. He firmly pressed his hand against him feeling him through his robes. As he did that, Wuxian reached behind him and started to do the same thing to Wangji. Lan Wangji smirked as he removed his hand and stood up, holding Wuxian in his arms. He then carried him over to the bed and laid him down. He placed a couple privacy talismans on the walls of the Jingshi and a lock talisman on the door to give them some extra privacy.

Wei Wuxian opened his robes, revealing his bare chest and trousers. Lan Wangji removed his robes before climbing into bed and hovered over Wuxian. Wangji settled his hips as he rested on top of Wuxian, making sure that he was pressed firmly against Wuxian. The pleasure between them was already heightened.

Their lips were attached together, moving in sync. Pleasureful moans, groans, grunts, and panting was heard throughout the room. Wangji ground his hips in such a precise manner that with each grind, he and Wuxian were both close to their release. Wuxian wrapped his legs around Wangji's waist, causing Wangji to press harder against him.

"Lan-Er-Gege, I so close!" Wuxian whined.

Wangji smirked as he shoved his face into the crook of Wuxian's neck. His teeth latched onto Wuxian, and he started to suck at his skin. The pain increased the pleasure that was building inside of Wuxian, and it was not entirely painful, it was more of a pleasure type of feeling. With one final harsh thrust against Wuxian, Wangji let out a deep grunt. He reached his release only for Wuxian to follow after him.

Wuxian giggled as he wrapped his arms around Wangji's neck, "so good, Er-Gege."

"Mnn," Wangji replied before kissing him.

"We should clean up, I'm sure our siblings are going to wonder where we are soon, plus I am now hungry," Wuxian said.

Wangji chuckled and sat up, "come," he said.

Wuxian smiled and followed him to get cleaned up and into clean robes. They then removed the talismans from the walls before going to the dining hall to eat.

"Lan Zhan?" Wuxian said, stopping before they reached the dining hall.

"Hmm?" He asked.

"Do I have any visible bite marks? I know how much you like to mark me," Wuxian asked, "I don't want them asking too many questions."

"None are visible," Wangji said in assurance, "made sure of that."

Wuxian smirked as he took his hand and intertwined his fingers with Wangji's, "so thoughtful of you."

"Look at you two love birds," a familiar female voice spike out.

"MianMian?" Wuxian asked.

"Who else?" She asked, "are you done trying to flirt with me?"

"I never was to begin with, I love him," Wuxian said pointing to Wangji, "unless you miss Yuandoa." (The verse in question is 绵绵思远道 (mián mián sī yuǎn dào), "How endless is my longing for the distant road" is the poetic translation.

"Don't make me skewer you," MianMian said.

Wuxian giggled and looked and at Wangji, "don't take it seriously," he told him.

"I won't," Wangji said and looked at MianMian, "you will have to skewer me first."

"Don't entice him," MianMian replied.

"I am not," Wangji said, "Wei Ying is mine."

"You can have him," MianMian said.

"Hey, Jin Zixuan is now available for grabs if you want him," Wuxian told her.

"He is my senior," MianMian said.

"By what, a couple years?" Wuxian asked.

MianMian scoffed, "why are you so annoying."

"Why do you put up with me if I am annoying?" Wuxian asked.

MianMian's lips flattened into a thin line before she stormed off. Wuxian brought the back of Wangji's to his lips and placed a kiss, "you doing okay? Drinking any vinegar?" Wuxian questioned.

Wangji shook his head before placed a kiss on Wuxian's forehead and entered the dining hall. When they sat down, Xichen and Yanli gave them a look like they knew something. Wuxian didn't really want to know, mostly because it was a sly kind of look.
