Hwayoung didn't want to get up. The event from a few nights ago scarred her mind. Whenever her grandma asked if something was wrong, she blamed it on cramps.

The thing is, when she had heard of work abuse happening, it seemed horrible. It is horrible. But living through it was so much more hurtful. The girl hadn't even realized how she was experiencing manipulation and other horrendous things until her friends had to bring it up.

Was she really so dumb to not notice the signs around her?

Tears couldn't even pour out anymore. It was pathetic. The feeling of shame and guilt surrounded her heart. Hwayoung wanted to give a formal apology to her friends for being so ignorant and distant to them but it was too much work. She was exhausted.
