The stupid grin you had on your face was annoying your father. Ever since he got discharged from the hospital, you were giving him allusive looks every time you made eye contact. You weren't very comfortable about your father being in a relationship (which he is not yet) but after thinking about it for a day, you decided not to bother by it. After all, your mother's engagement didn't affect you that much too. So you were enjoying making fun with him as much as you can.

While you were thinking of ways to tease him, you saw a notification come to your phone. It was from Clara, she was informing you that she'll be spending the weekend with her family. You were glad they get on the good terms again.

"Is your friend all right?" your father asked. He was worried because Clara had been involved in the accident.

"Yes, she is. What about you? Is there anywhere that still hurts?"

"I feel better. So much so that I even think of going back to work." he said as he get up from his seat. But you gave him a plate full of fruits and made him sit back again.

"You're not going anywhere, the sheriff said so too. He'll send you the documents you were working on so you can finish them at home. But no leaving home until you recover fully. Understood?" you said in a strict tone. Trying to sound like Professor McGonagall.

He leaned back with a sigh and reached for the tv remote so he can watch something to pass the time. At least until that documents or whatever will be sent to him. You were preparing to go to the kitchen to prepare some food when the doorbell rang. It was probably the deputy who came to deliver the papers.
But it wasn't. The one who was standing at the door was Stiles and he was looking like the neighbor kid who came to play.

"Hello, dad said I was supposed to give these to Mr. Takashi." he said as he hand the big envelope over. You stood there and looked at him for a minute. What a bother. You. Didn't. Want. To. See. Him. Because when you do, that annoying butterfly colony starts marching in your stomach. And it's really bothersome when you know you should be suspecting of him.

"Who's at the door?'" your father shouted from inside.

"It's Stiles!" you replied. But because of the distance and the sound of the tv, he couldn't hear you. Why doesn't he turn off that while talking?

"Who?!" he shouted louder.

"IT'S STILES STILINSKI. OH MY GOD, PLEASE TURN THAT THING OFF!!" you hoped he heard you but now Stiles was looking at you with a funny face.

"What? Did you never see a normal family communicating before?"

"No, I was just thinking that you're really cute." He probably saw the horrified expression on your face because he added " I mean you two, as a family. Your father-daughter dynamic looks fun." You let out the breath you didn't notice you were holding.

"Won't you invite him in?" your father asked from the other room. At that moment a suspicion came to your mind. What if Stiles is a vampire? You don't know much about them but if werewolves are real, then why wouldn't vampires be? Then according to the information you have from the fictions you read up until now, if you don't invite him in he can't come inside. But how can you invite him without actually inviting him?

There was a moment of silence as you looked him in the eye and said nothing. "So, you heard him." you said as you chuckle and put your hands in your pocket. Technically you didn't invite him, and neither did your father. But you implied it, so if he's not a vampire he should come inside.

And he stepped inside. Just like that. All the theories you had inside your head were for nothing. But it could be that he has got invited to this house before. Since your fathers are friends with each other. You'll have to investigate this further up. He walked inside and greeted your father as he sat in the chair across from him.

"I'm glad to see you get better Mr. Takashi." he actually wanted to ask him some questions. But given the circumstances, which is Y/N lying to them about the witch case, it wouldn't be weird for him to lie as well.

"Thank you, Stiles. If it wasn't that little witch daughter of mine I would be at work by now." he said and laughed lightly. And like that, he made it all awkward. He was calling you that as a term of affection. He was meaning like a cute little witch or something.

Since he didn't know about them suspecting you of being a witch, or you suspect them to be homicidal werewolves, he made that kind of word choice. A bad choice indeed. Stiles had that weird 'wait, does that mean?' face again.

"Stiles, do you want to have some cake in my room? Let's leave dad with his work since he has a lot of things to do

"Stiles, do you want to have some cake in my room? Let's leave dad with his work since he has a lot of things to do."

After pushing him toward your room, and receiving a questioning look from your father while doing that, you went to the kitchen for preparing something to eat. Some garlic bread and orange juice will be perfect. Not delicious perfect, more like 'could you be a vampire by any chance?' perfect.

When you entered your room with the tray in your hand, you caught Stiles looking into your bookshelf carefully. You felt relieved that you put all the magical books in the basement. Hearing you coming, he turned around with excessive moves, as if he got caught red-handed. You laughed it off. But you better search the room after he leaves, in case he placed a camera or something.

You put the tray on the zataku (which is a low table, used commonly in almost every Japanese house.). Stiles came and sat across you. He was observing the room from the corner of his eyes. No evidence for you here sweety~

"You have a nice room." he said, wanting to break the silence.

"Thank you." you couldn't think of anything else to say.

Dead silence...

"So, I heard you studied in England till now..." he attempted to start a conversation.

"Yes, my mom lives there so..." since you talked about your divorced mother he probably won't ask any further. So you can't talk properly anyway, it's time for the vampire test. You poured the orange juice into glasses and cut the garlic bread. Observing his facial expression, he doesn't seem like he hates garlic. Or he's pretending not to.

"Thank you for bringing the papers. I'm in debt to you for a lot of things already." you said. He was by your side throughout all this accident thing. And you appreciated it.

"Don't ever think it that way. That's what friends are for right?" he said as he took a bite from the bread. If you weren't thinking about whether or not he's a vampire, this sentence he just said could make you feel something else.

There is only one test left. Every fiction has different theories for vampires. What makes them, what they hate or such... But there is one theory that never changes in every fiction. And that's...

A vampire can't stand the sight of blood.

For that logical reason (?) you cut your hand accidentally(!). But it turned out deeper than you planned. The blood squirted from your finger and in a second your sleeve was all soaked in blood. Everything happened after that.

Stiles looked at your finger nervously. His eyebrows twitched and he opened his mouth to say something. But he couldn't.

Because he fainted.
