I woke up the next morning to multiple knocks on the tatami door, I groggily sat up myself up, stretching out, wondering who was this persistent in the morning.
"Y/n! Are you awake?" Tanjiros voice called out.
"Tanjiro? I'll meet you in a second, yeah?"
I slipped out of my futon, rolled it up, and put it back into the closet. Tidying up my slayer uniform before changing and fixing up my hair. I walked over and opened the sliding door to get met with a blinding light and Tanjiro's smile.
"Good morning!" He beamed out
"Mm, good morning.. " I replied with a yawn
"I was wondering if you'd want to come look around with me! Having some company would be nice!"
I agreed with a smile, we started walking around, I took in the beautiful scenery of the village. Staring up at the passing clouds, getting lost in them, and also having to question Tanjiro multiple times on what he said because I got too distracted..
"Kanroji told me about a secret weapon! I wonder what it is. Maybe it's a sword or buried treasure!" He exclaimed
"Ah! I've heard the swordsmiths whisper about it, I wonder what it is."
He nodded with an excited look, who knew he loved treasure hunting? Though I haven't seen Muichiro yet, I was hoping to talk to him maybe he likes treasure hunting too.
"Did you enjoy the spring, Tanjiro?"
He lightly rubbed his nose, "Yeah! But I can still smell it from here, it's really strong"
I gave him a nod with a short laugh falling from my lips, telling him to take it easy, he was still recovering after all.
"Hey, do you see those people? It looks like a kid and one more person." He pointed out
I followed his finger to see two people in an opening, I got a good look, knowing exactly who one of them was, that straight inky black hair I'd seen a million times, and the teal creeping onto it, the oversized uniform that somehow fit him so well.
A wide smile spread across my face, "That's Muichiro!!"
"Shinobu-san told me about him, he's a pillar right?" He questioned
I grabbed Tanjiro's hand and dragged him towards the two, "Mhm, let's go talk to him!"
As we got closer, we overheard their conversation.. well more like an argument, something about a key. Muichiro's hand started to move.. he slapped the kid right across the face?!
