"You! You're the one who taught my daughter this nonsense!" Ruth lunged at Blessing.
"I did not do anything. Leave me abeg, old woman." She said, pushing her off her body and making Ruth hit the couch, Sandra rushed to her mother, though angry.
"Blessing! What is your problem?!" She asked when her mother got up.
"Babe... What happened to you?!" Blessing asked looking at Sandra's left arm which had a cane mark.
"Abeg! Let Ebuka come back from work so you'll leave this house! You will leave this house today and go back to meet your parents." Ruth screamed as she walked past Sandra.
Moving away, Blessing moved towards Sandra when Ruth suddenly held her and slapped her across the face.
"Ah!" Blessing yelled.
"You think you can come into my house and disrespect me like that?!" Ruth yelled, hitting her on her back.
Felix ran out of his room at that moment and pulled his mother away. "What happened?" He asked and looked over at Sandra.
Sandra explained everything that happened while Blessing was in the room after murmuring, "abi I should leave your house. I will leave your house! Wetin dey for your house?!" (What's the big deal in your house?)
Ebuka had come in and Sandra explained the situation to him.
Blessing came into the living room with her stuffs packed and Ruth clapped her hands together.
"Oya de go!" Blessing glared at her, "si n'ulom pua, nwa emebiwo!" She yelled. (Get out of my house, spoilt child!)
"Honey..." Ebuka started but Ruth glared at him.
"Don't 'honey' me, I told you not to let this girl into our home and see what she has done to Sandra."
"I didn't do anything!"
"Abaghí uru, mechonu!" (Useless, keep quiet!)
"Uncle, I can go since that is what aunty wants." Blessing said and headed towards the door and no one made an attempt to stop her.
"Finally! What are you waiting for? A sí m puo n'ulo m." (I said get out of my house).
Blessing opened up the door, "Blessing..." Sandra mumbled.
"Enough woman!" Ebuka said, "are you done? Blessing go back inside, it's late."
"Ebuka-"
"Honey!" He glared at her and turned to Blessing, "go back inside, tomorrow I'll call your parents. Everyone go back to your rooms, Honey, to the kitchen." He said and Ruth angrily followed him in. ...
"She got caught kissing him. KISSING! Ebuka, that could have led to different things." Ruth said.
"It does not mean Blessing was associated with it."
"But she called me an old woman."
"And you've taught her a lesson, no need to raise your voice any louder. Honey, just let Blessing be, she didn't commit any crime and she doesn't mean harm to Sandra." He got up and headed to the dining room. "By the way, I'm starving." ...
