Sandra

"So he proposed?!" I nodded, "ahhh!!" Screamed Ijeoma and Helen wacked her forehead.

"Quiet!" I chuckled, they hadn't changed one bit. Helen turned to me, "and you said yes?"

"Of course, what else would I have said?" I said, walking to Helen's kitchen to grab a bottle of water.

"Thank God! I thought you were going to be some Reverend Sister and stay single forever!" Ijeoma said.

"IJ!"

"What?... Anyways, if I were you I would just stay that way... I don't want any man in my life, I could just be a baby mama and it would be good." Helen slapped her arm playfully.

"You that can jump the all the men in Africa."

"I didn't say I wouldn't want a lay nau... I just said no commitment."

"Ijeoma, may God help you that you change that your attitude-" I said, coming out of the kitchen.

"Ehn you can continue calling me Ms Fornicator, I don't care, look where it got me today..." She crossed over her legs, "my sugar daddy can provide for me."

"IJ! A married man!"

"Do I look like I care? What his wife doesn't know won't kill her... And you don't kuku know whether she sef no dey cheat."

"Do you know what that makes you? An adulterer!"

"Abeg free me! Our lawyer. Sandra, we are going par-ta-ying! Sandra just got a proposal, my sugar daddy finally promised to take me to London so I can japa from this 9ja and you... You are finally going to graduate soon! This calls for a party, I know a club downtown, it's great! Na big men pikin full there..." Ijeoma said, scrolling through her phone.

"Ijeoma, you forget that I have three kids." I said, taking in a gulp of water.

"Oh yes! I promised them I was gonna visit soon, I miss my Travis." Ijeoma said.

"And Tabitha." Helen said.

"Yes, the duo of gisters, na una logo, na so dem go dey torey..." Ijeoma said and Helen laughed.

"Why is no one talking about my Tobi?" I asked, "my protective darling."

"Of course! But! You are still part-ay-ing, no excuses! Your parents live with them, you are an adult and we are going strictly alcohol free, promise!" Ijeoma said.

"IJ, why should she believe you?" Helen.

"Why shouldn't she? I'm a very truthful person." Helen cleared her throat loudly, "warever, well what I'm trying to say here is..." Ijeoma turned to look at me, "girl, you need to let loose, everytime work! Work! Work! Na only you wan make money? Me sef I no wan money? Abeg enjoy yourself! We only live once!"

"IJ the motivational speaker, Sandra, don't listen to her." Ijeoma slapped her cheek gently.

"Abeg, Helen the only child of God, allow her to enjoy herself!"

"Yes, I get it. You work too much, but a club is nowhere to be right now."

"Mtcheeew, Sandra, free your mind for once, ever since Mister Man left you, it's all about book and your children. I mean, hallelujah, you finally got James to make you not feel so lonely but girl, you have so many things on your mind that you need to finally let go of! Some advice, you know I see you more of a sister than a friend ehn, you are 24! He has proposed to you, soon you'll be a married woman, now that you are still a bachelorette, you better live it while it lasts, soon I'll call you and you'll be like..." She held her phone to her ear, "'ehn I'm with my husband right now, we're spending some quality time together'" she chuckled, "and you will be boring! But now that you're not bearing his last name, enjoy it! Ah! Omo, una just dey bore person, person no fit enjoy themselves sey na only dem wan go heaven?" Ijeoma said and I hummed, thinking.

"Are you seriously considering this? A club, Sandra!" Helen said.

"Like I said, we're adults, it's no big deal..." Ijeoma said and I raised a brow.

I considered it, I've had the 'Mister Man' on my mind since the last encounter, I haven't even told them about it and I seriously need to let of steam... Also for the fact that I have been questioning my feelings for James since he proposed.

"Okay... Fine, let's do it!" I said.

"Yo! Finally! We're going tonight, 8pm! I'll pick y'all up!" Ijeoma said.

"Ehnnnnn?! Which 'y'all'? Na only you and Sandra dey go that place ohh... Me, I wan go read, I go dey campus next week. Since Sandra has decided to follow the ways of you, I can only pity her but I am not going anywhere!" Helen said, getting up to leave the living room but I grabbed her arm.

"Come on nau, only this once..." I said, "you can be the one to watch over me since Ijeoma would probably get drunk."

"Ah Sandra this is what you think of me? I said no alcohol! Oh I forgot, I better be your chief bridesmaid!" Ijeoma said.

"Sandra! Better don't go anywhere! I'm telling you now oh..."

"Oya for me..." I said and she sighed, narrowing her eyes at Ijeoma who was smirking at her.

"Fine! This will be the first and last!" She said.
...

"Remind me why I'm still friends with you?" I asked Ijeoma as we stood outside the bursting building.

"Because you love me..." She said, rolling her eyes and dragging I and Helen into the building.

"And remind me how I got here." Helen said.

"Because you love me." I said.

We got pulled in and I dragged my dress up, I seriously have no idea how Ijeoma convinced me to where this rubbish. Not that it was any sort revealing, it was just a bit above my knee and my whole collarbone was exposed, I felt so uncomfortable.

The place was bubbling, so many people were grinding against each other and doing all sorts of things, some were drinking their guts out, there was a stripper in the middle of the room and some other were busy dancing on men, some were chatting and having the time of their life while I and Helen looked around in horror.

"IJ, oya let us be going, wetin be this?" Helen asked, pulling my arm.

"So, this is the club, let's have some funnn!" Ijeoma screamed as she dragged us to a table.

So that's a bit of the trio of besties! We haven't seen them for a while so I just thought of bringing them back.

What do you think of the rebellious Ijeoma?

What about the still Child of God Helen?

Anyways, thanks for reading!
