Aino and Griff insisted on still exploring where I was before leaving somewhere else. They explained that they've never been here, so they'd like me to show them around.

We went back to my subway as I explained to them why I've been here. Griff didn't seem to care about my story, but Aino was so invested.

I gave them a little supplies before going back out, further into the city.

We saw different stores, arcades, malls, and theaters all around. Some of them I've never been to, but I was still open to being their tour guide.

They told me that the state I was in was Oregon. I didn't know this since I was too young for my parents to explain it to me before the apocalypse started. I thought it was a pretty cool name, and they said that it has a lot of history.

After going around my city, they mentioned some 'Salem'. We decided to go there next.

Aino talked my ear off about the many journeys him and Griff have been on. He told me stories and described the kind of zombies they've run into.

Griff stood quiet on the trip to Salem. It kind of bothered me, cause I wanted to know more about him too. I took a liking to both of them, despite getting off on the wrong foot.

Aino seemed to notice his silence as well, about to say something about it till I butted in.

"Hey, what about you? What's your story?" I teasingly asked, focusing my attention to him now.

"I have no story that's any of your concern. For now, you should just be worried about yourself " he spat back, not bothering to look at me.

Rude.

"What's your problem? I've made my own effort so far. Why can't you do the same?" I asked, stepping in front of him.

He came to a stop, glaring down at me.

He was really tall. It kind of scared me a bit. I glanced over at Aino, noticing that he wasn't really that tall. He looked only a few inches taller. Griff, on the other hand.

"Move out of my way." he demanded, staring into my soul.

"No, what are you gonna do about it?" I questioned, stepping closer to him.

"Hey- Erm- what's your name?" Aino asked, I forgot to tell them that.

"Kama," I answered, continuing to stare at Griff.

"Kama, please don't do that- You don't know what you can get into with Griff," Aino begged, seeming scared for me.

"Kama, meaning love and desire," was all Griff said, barely breaking the eye contact we had.

"Griffith...I don't know what Griffith means," I frowned a bit, realizing how dumb I was.

"Typical," he scoffed, rolling his eyes.

It was obvious that he didn't take me seriously. That fact pissed me off.

"Typical? Oh, I'm typical? It's typical that your emo ass lacks so much social skills that you can't answer when someone's speaking to y-"

Griff's bangs blew up from his face, a fanged mouth growling at me.

The only problem was that this wasn't his normal mouth.

It was a mouth on his forehead.

My eyes widened, the mouth beginning to grind its teeth. It chomped down multiple times, the fangs growing long and sharp.

"What the fuck?" I muttered, feeling like what I was seeing right now was illegal.

"Talk more shit, I dare you," he threatened, leaning down so I could get more of his nasty second mouth.

"Or what? Are you gonna eat me?" I teased, finding his second mouth kind of funny now.

I saw Aino panicking through my peripheral. He seemed so worried for me right now.

"I could, but you properly haven't showered for years. It'd be better to let you rot," he responded, his mouth continuing to chomp at me.

"I do shower and wash my clothes. But chances you're reflecting onto me are reaaally high. I bet your face is dirty as fuck because of that mouth. Does it drool on you?" I annoyed him, smirking as I did so.

He scoffed, glancing away from me as if he wasn't gonna try anymore.

Before he could walk away, I stuck my finger in front of his second mouth. I was curious to see what it would do.

It didn't hesitate to absolutely chop down on my finger. I really don't know what I was expecting.

"Kama!" Aino called out, coming to my aid.

I glanced down at Griff's eyes, noticing that they were extremely wide. Was he expecting that? Probably not.

"No wonder you had a big ass forehead," I joked, watching the blood drip down his face.

Griff opened his original mouth, seeming at a loss for words.

"Why-" was all he managed to say, feeling the blood reach his lips.

I noticed his dark eyes begin to change color. Maybe I was right when I called him the brother of a vampire.

I glanced down, finally prying my finger free.

I winced a bit, seeing the deep cut his fangs left.

The blood was rushing down my hand, the pain finally coming to me.

"Here," Aino spoke, grabbing some supplies from his bags.

He applied pressure to my finger before cleaning up my hand. He used a water bottle to wash the blood off fast, then dried it with napkins.

He used gauze to hold the napkin over the wound, wrapping it tight so the bleeding would stop.

I glanced over at Griff again, seeing the shock still plastered on his face. His bangs covered up his second mouth, but the blood still showed on his face.

"Let's keep walking, please," Aino frowned, mostly directed to me.

"Fine," I sighed, going back to the original formation.

Aino was intent on keeping between us for the rest of the trip. It kind of bothered me, but I didn't blame him. First interaction with Griff and I let him almost rip my finger off.

We kept on for Salem, all determined to get there now.
