We followed Aurelio and David to the elevator. The rest of the outside was brighter and more open than the other room. There were windows nearly everywhere, and the rising sun shined through our figures.
The elevator was extremely fancy as well. It was decorated in white and gold, and there were working lights. Some lame ass elevator music played as well.
They certainly knew how to sustain themselves.
We went all the way to a high floor, just a few below the highest one. I was kind of curious about the highest floor because its button was painted in gold. Was that where the official owners were?
When the elevator doors opened, Aurelio stopped us in our tracks. They insisted that they'd go first and that we'd constantly follow behind them.
This Aurelio definitely had an ego.
I glanced at Griff as David finally scurried out of the elevator. I had hardly taken a good look at him since arriving, but I noticed the anger behind his eyes. He seemed angry at Aurelio and angry that he was even back here in the first place.
I really wish we could kill Aurelio somehow.
We walked down the hall to these big double doors. The wood was painted a bright gold, the reflection of the sun making it a bright sun yellow.
The handle was a smooth white, absolutely no smudge of dirt on the door at all.
I wonder what the top floor looked like if it were so fancy here.
Aurelio held the door open for us, letting me and Griff go first. He held David behind, giving us a cold glare on our way in.
The room was a big office. There was a desk at the far back by the windows, the rest of the room was like a waiting room. There were coffee tables, but the desk seemed the most important part.
There was a really old woman who sat in the office chair, organizing some papers that filled the desk.
She had short grey hair, and her makeup was dark and professional. She looked like she meant business, but I wasn't sure that she was the main boss.
Boy, was I wrong.
"Kama, meet the founder and developer of our camp, Olivia Crawford." Aurelio began, bowing beside us as if in respect.
David bowed as well, and it felt wrong that me and Griff were just standing there. I would never bow to these people, though.
"Griffith, don't you know better?" she began to speak, hardly putting in effort to look at us.
Griff didn't answer, and it urged me to look at him.
That was when I realized what had him distracted.
Aino sat on a couch directly across from the woman's desk. He was staring at us with wide eyes, tears starting to fall from them.
"Aino-" Griff called, running as fast as light to him.
If this were animated, Griff would've been Tom finally catching and squeezing the absolute lights out of Jerry. Aino's eyes would've been popping out of his sockets and talking with a choked voice.
That's basically how hard Griff hugged him. It was actually pretty cute.
"Excuse me! We have matters to talk about. It's bad enough that you ran off. Now, you're skipping to the next part of this organized plan." Olivia Bitchford spoke, banging her hand on an empty spot of her desk.
I was assuming that the empty spot was saved just for her fist so she could be dramatic.
I shot her a glare, and I guess she noticed cause she looked back at me.
