We carried Griff back to the elevator, now standing there in pure silence.

Well, besides the horrible music.

I couldn't believe some of the stuff I found out today. No one knew of Aino's existence this whole time besides the upper power? This camp makes the very zombies that killed my parents? How long have they been doing it for? Will they still do it after today?

So many questions circled my head. I wanted to ask Aino so much as well.

"Again, you two have no idea how great it is to be reunited. That day, I was scared that I would be killed. I wasn't, though, and with time, I knew I'd see you again. It just felt like centuries." Aino broke the silence, his voice shaking like it did before.

I noticed Griff's head move, but he didn't respond in any way. I wasn't too sure what his mood was now.

I didn't really know how to respond, either. I didn't wanna be rude, though.

"Yeah," was all I was able to say.

The elevator doors finally opened two floors above the floor with all the rooms. This floor was different from the others. The entire floor was just a room.

When we walked out, it was simply a hallway leading to the other parts of a room.

It was like a big apartment that Aino had all to himself. To the right of us, there were decorations and such. To the left of us, there was an entire kitchen.

We walked past the kitchen, turning to see the rest of the floor. To the very back of the left side, there was a small hallway that led to what I guessed was the bathroom.

Beside the kitchen was the living room. There was a big TV placed on an entertainment center with sofas surrounding the area. There was a modern coffee table there much similar to the rest I've seen today.

To the right of the bathrooms was his bed. I'd say it was about the size of a queen sized bed. Next to it were the bedstands and more decorations.

This is probably why no one knew of his existence. He had this entire floor all to himself.

He probably didn't know of them either.

We carried Griff to one of the sofas, setting him down against a hill of pillows.

I felt kind of relieved now that the weight was literally lifted off my shoulders. I flopped onto the couch beside him, feeling so exhausted after everything that happened.

Aino still stood behind the couch Griff was on, gently running his fingers through Griff's hair.

It was dead silent until something popped up on the coffee table.

I didn't even realize it was there. There was a small tablet in the middle of the table, a small hologram coming from it.

"Hello, you three. I'm not sure if you saw it, but in the hallway with the bathroom, there's a second door. That door leads to a guest room. Kama, Griff, you two can stay there." Olivia Bitchford began to speak, her little hologram self standing like a toddler.

"Alright, thank you, Olivia." Aino was the only one that responded.

"Have a good rest of your day," she finished, the hologram finally disappearing.

"So, do you guys wanna go now?" Aino gently asked, removing his hand from Griff's hair.

"Yeah, I want to lay down." Griff let out in a raspy voice, his head hardly moving to react.

"I'll take him, Aino. You should rest as well." I stepped in, getting up to pick Griff up.

"Oh, okay. Hope you two feel better," Aino spoke.

I don't know what it was, but it felt like he was holding something back. Something he wanted to say so badly.

I decided to ignore it for now since all of us were kind of tense.

"You too,"

I carried Griff to the room Bitchford described, opening the door with my free hand.

The room was really similar to the one we were in before. It was actually identical, with just a bit more space.

The only difference was a hanging tv on the left side.

The problem was.

There was only one bed.

I didn't even bother to ask, I wanted Griff to have the bed. He was the one that was more fucked up. Besides, I'm comfortable on the floor.

I set him on the bed, pulling the blanket back so that he could get comfortable.

"You don't want the bed?" he asked, his eyes falling heavy.

"Nah, I already told you I wouldn't be comfortable in a bed."

I got a scoff in response, slight laughter coming afterward.

"That's right, I forgot that you lie to yourself."

I rolled my eyes, standing up straight and heading to the other side of the room.

"And you don't?"

"You got me there."

I laid down on the floor next to the door, placing my head underneath a small chair in the corner.

"I'll just lay here for a bit. I need to be alone with my thoughts anyway. Then, we could sleep early," I spoke, placing my hands under my head.

I got silence from his end, but I could somehow tell that he agreed.

"Alright. Good night, Kama."

My nose twitched a bit, a small smile spreading on my face.

"Good night, Griff."
