"Run."

Aino turned, watching Griff jump over the silver colored brick wall. He dashed into the woods, slowly going out of sight.

"Are we really just gonna run?" I questioned, turning to Aino.

"I guess we have no choice now," he shrugged, dashing after Griff.

I glanced at the monster, noticing it start to swing at me.

I jumped high above it's... whatever that was, kicking off the hanging tree to catch up with Griff.

The three of us ran through the woods, hearing the heavy footsteps behind us.

"You're just gonna run?! After all the big shot talk, you're gonna run like a fucking pussy" I complained, yelling after Griff.

"Deal with it. If you don't like the way I do things, you can leave," he spat back, turning his head a few times.

I narrowed my eyes, rolling them at his utter nonsense.

I glanced at the many trees around us, coming up with a plan.

I jumped up onto a branch, letting Aino run past me.

"Kama?" I heard him question. He continued to run though.

I kicked off, jumping through the trees back to the monster.

"KAMA?!" I heard Aino yell behind me, his footsteps finally stopping.

The monster wasn't that far along, surprisingly.

It took another swing at me, purple particles coming from whatever was aiming at me.

It looked like a whip of goop. I wasn't interested in finding out what it did.

I used another branch to hop over the whip, letting it hit the tree behind me.

The tree split in half, fire spreading at the now open bark. Ouch. I definitely don't wanna be touched by that thing.

I landed on the whip, running straight for its neck.

Another whip came from the other side, trying to get me away from the assumed weak spot.

I jumped up high, letting the whip hit itself. I heard whatever this was let out a groan, a burn mark spreading on its assumed shoulder.

I landed quickly, using my dagger to slice its neck.

It let out a loud shriek, aggressively shaking me. I braced myself, trying my best to stay on.

Its neck began to split apart, a good portion staying connected.

I laughed, raising my dagger again in confidence.

Just as I was about to dash forward, another one of its whips came for me. My eyes widened, knowing I wouldn't be able to dodge it this time.

I quickly jumped up, feeling it slash the bottom of my leg.

The burning sensation didn't fail to spread through my body. It felt as though my leg was being pulled apart.

I let out a loud shriek, beginning to fall to the ground.

I frantically glanced around for something, anything.

I noticed Aino running to me, but from his distance, he wouldn't make it.

I saw another whip coming through my peripheral, wondering what I could do here.

I quickly devised a plan, moving my foot to be at the ready.

Just as I moved, I felt arms wrap around me.
