Nat has finally finished her mission that took longer than expected and she was more than relived for tonight to go and sleep for a full 8 hours.

She missed wanda and so when the girl asked if she could sleep with her tonight even though she hasn't left her side for a moment since she came back, she agreed.

They were both cuddled up in nat's bed and everytime the russian was about to fall asleep, wanda would ask another random question.

"What's your favorite animal mama?"

Nat was starting to get a bit frustrated with the constant questions but she still answered every single one of them, she didn't know why wanda was doing this so late at night instead of sleeping but she didn't want to be mad at her just because of some questions.

"I don't know baby, I think an owl" nat said tiredly.

Wanda gasped, "but dinos are better"

Even though nat was beyond exhausted, she still laughed at how offended wanda seemed to be over her answer.

"Go to sleep baby come on it's too late for this" she said, putting an arm around the girl, hoping she would give in.

She didn't.

It was over an hour of wanda's constant questions, nat's eyes remained closed and her answers became shorter but wanda seemed to be happy enough that the woman was still answering.

"Can I be an avenger like you?"

"Absolutely not until you're like 35" nat said.

Wanda giggled, after a moment of silence, she asked another question but this time nat didn't respond. She looked at her mother and knew that's all of her questions will be answered. She cuddled into nat as much as she can and eventually fell asleep too.

The questions seemed to tire out the girl more than she thought when she woke up to an empty bed and made her way down to the kitchen, she knows nat is always there in the mornings.

"Hey sleepyhead you finally woke up" nat said, ruffling wanda's hair.

Wanda groaned as she shoved her face into nat.

They hugged for a bit and when they pulled away, nat decided to ask about last night.

"What was with all the questions last night baby?"

She didn't hear a response and turned around to see wanda shuffling on her feet and looking down, she seemed almost ashamed. The woman was going to question about her reaction but wanda beat her to it.

"I missed you.. and you took a long time from the mission, I just wanted to spend time with you" wanda said mumbling her words.

Nat's heart broke and melted at the same time, she knew the affects on her daughter when she goes away for missions and it all made sense on why she was asking random things, she just wanted to have more time together.

"Oh detka" she said, bringing wanda into her arms, "I missed you too, every single day and I'm not mad at you or anything for last night, It's actually very cute and I will happily answer all your questions any day and any time"

Wanda just nodded as she hugged her mother tight, she was glad nat was back and hopefully won't be on a mission again for a while.

I need to write more angst where nat is the bad guy but it physically pains me lmao
