Law and Order: The Zatima Unit

𝐴𝑙𝑙 𝐴𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑈𝑠

"It's okay Fatima. If it's meant to be, it'll come back around. I think that it will. I've never seen any woman put a smile on Zac's face the way that you have. Everything will work out." Taraji said

"You've been through this before?" Fatima asked

"It's my current situation. I use to think about it day and night, and now I'm just enjoying every moment with him." Taraji said, "there he is right there"

Fatima's eyes widened, "girllll I know that ain't who I think it is"

"It is & your man coming right behind him" Taraji said high-fiving her

Taraji dipped off and Fatima was sitting there with Zac.

"Why do you look like you're about to cry?" Zac asked

"Im not."

"Yes you are." He said while turning her face toward him.

"I was just thinking that once we leave, we'll never see each other again. I was trying to get over it before it happened." Fatima said

"Don't upset yourself. We're grown Fatima. We can see each other any time that we want. It's nothing to get on a plane." Zac said

"Our jobs will interfere with that though. I'm moving soon to another state from Chicago. I'm not sure how it'll all work out." Fatima said

"You're moving too?" Zac said

"Yes. This is my last case with them. It's time for a fresh start somewhere else." Fatima said

"Well, you aren't the only one moving and getting a fresh start. It's my last case with them too. I'm moving to Atlanta and I'll be continuing my career there too." Zac said

"God has a very funny way of telling me things." Fatima said

"Why you say that?"

"It's because I'm moving to Atlanta too." Fatima said

Zac smiled, "you also didn't know that you are my next door neighbor either?"

"No, they told you that?"

"The HOA sends you a list every month. They give you names of the people that's on both sides of you. That's why I'm not worried about leaving you because we'll be right back together."

Fatima smiled, "this is so crazy."

"It doesn't happen by accident like this. We're meant to stay together." Zac said kissing Fatima, "and I finally figured out why you were mad in the car. I got you" Zac said winking at her

Fatima laughed.

They ended up leaving the hospital. They've been up all night. It was 6 A.M. They went back to the precinct and everybody else was there and it pissed her off. The fact that they spent the whole night up, while she knew for a fact that Karen and Michael were probably getting the best sleep of their lives bothered her.

She felt like they should have been out there. Taraji felt the same way. Zac didn't really care because he didn't want Karen around him. He had no problem with Michael, but he just didn't care for Karen to be in his presence.

They all set at their desk. Olivia walked inside the precinct.

"Zac go home. Fatima go home. Taraji go home. I'll pick it up where you guys left off. I'll take care of the kids and the documents." Olivia said, "where's Brandee?"

"She's getting coffee" Taraji said

Olivia walked into the room, "you can go home. I know you're tired" she said to Brandee

"You don't have to tell me twice" Brandee said laughing

Brandee walked out along with everybody else.

"Fatima, I got a question" Taraji said

"What is it"

"Why in the hell are Michael and Karen packing up to go home? They bald headed asses just got here 13 minutes ago."

"Both of they asses can go to hell. I done hurt my damn legs trying to climb buildings and they want to go home?! They must be on that booger sugar." Fatima said

"It's okay Fatima. Zac will make sure your legs are justtttt fine" Taraji said laughing

Fatima walked to the car and got in. Fatima ended up falling asleep in the car while Zac was driving.

"Wake up." Zac said, "let's go in the house"

Fatima slowly woke up. They got out the car and walked into Zac's house. They took a shower and they were both dozing off in bed.

Both of their phones started going off.

"Man what they hell?!" Fatima said. "It's Olivia."

Fatima answered the phone. She talked to Olivia for a few minutes. By the time she got off of the phone, Zac was sleep.

She found out that Michael had been arrested. She didn't know the reason, but Olivia specifically told her to "check her things". She didn't know what she was looking for but she went downstairs and started going through their things.

30 minutes later, Zac turned in the bed and didn't feel her, so he called her name. She didn't hear him because she was downstairs.

He came downstairs.

"What are you doing?" Zac asked

"I'm looking for something." Fatima said

"What do you mean?" Zac asked

"Michael got arrested. Olivia told me to look through my stuff. I'm trying to see if I see something." Fatima said

"I promise you, if that nigga come over here, he's dead. If he pulled any strings, he's done! Come to bed. We've both been up all night." Zac said

"But I think I need-"

"Baby, come to bed." Zac said as he walked up to her and grabbed her hand

Fatima got up and grabbed his hand. They walked upstairs and got in the bed. They went to sleep.

*6 hours later*

Zac was up. He didn't want to wake Fatima up.

There was a knock on zacs door.
