Law and Order: The Zatima Unit

𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐽𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑛𝑒𝑦

They arrived to the precinct. They were sitting outside in the car. They didn't see Olivia's car, so they knew that Amelia wasn't there yet.

"My legs are hurting and it's your fault" Fatima said

"Blame yourself. You asked for it" zac said laughing

"That's funny to you?" She asked while folding her arms

"You are so damn cute. That face that you make when you're fake man." Zac said

Fatima just smiled, "I don't think that I'd ever be able to be mad at you." Fatima said

"Even if you do get mad, we can always talk it out. No need to hold back." Zac said

"God really took his time with you. A man that can communicate is hard to find." Fatima said

"Took a lot of work, but the journey has been a blessing. God must've been preparing me for you." Zac said

"How so?"

"There has never been a woman that I've met that has loved me the way that you do, and truthfully there's never been a woman that I've loved the way that I love you." Zac said

"You're my soulmate Zac. It didn't take me long to figure that out. It's like you had already figured me out. The first day that you walked me to the car and we ended up both just staying in our car. Something was telling me that we had something deeper. You came to the car and told me to go home. The whole ride home, I was thinking about you. You called me as soon as I got home and we talked all night. Then you are one of the only people that can calm me down. You're so gentle. I've never had anybody thank me for anything, nor treat me the way that I think I deserve to be treated."

"I feel the same way. For me, it was you in the coffee room. You realized that my energy was off and you asked me what I needed. You didn't try to pull anything out of me. You didn't get mad. You just asked if there was something that you could do. You gave me a hug and you didn't hold it above my head. I've never had that before. I was already going to make up an excuse to ask for your number that same day. You ended up giving it to me before I asked, and telling me to call you if I needed anything." Zac said

"I'd never hold anything above your head. Everyone needs a little help sometimes and I'm happy that the hug was the start of something new."

*10 minutes later*

They both were getting out of the car to go in even though Olivia wasn't there. They both walked through the door and before Fatima could sit down-

"Fatima bring your ass here!" Brandee said

"Can I sit down first? Damn" Fatima said

"Mhm..nope you cannot. Meet me in the coffee room." Brandee said

Fatima walked to the coffee room.

"I called you 57 times last night to tell you about your stupid ass sister." Brandee said

"What happened? I was busy last night."

"Heather dropped her kids off at the fire station and dipped. Your mother and father has those kids." Brandee said

"I actually feel bad for those babies. Having a deadbeat mother and a dead beat father is crazy, but I'm not helping with those kids." Fatima said

"I know you're not. Heather called Ian before she left. I think that he's coming and I just hope he don't try shit cause I'll light his ass on fire." Brandee said

"I'm not even worried about it. If it comes down to it, Zac will handle it." Fatima said

"Ohhhhh. You letting "Zac" handle things now? Give up the details now!" Brandee said

"There's no details. I'll just let him handle it."

"There are details. You barely walking straight."

"Ohhh those details. We went out last night. He asked me out on a date and it caught me by surprise. I had to call Pauletta to help me get ready. He came to get me from the hotel and we had dinner." Fatima stopped talking

"Girl I know damn well you not over here smiling at the coffee pot. Tell the story!" Brandee said

"Umm..we had a nice conversation and we danced. This man put a question in the sky and asked me to be his girlfriend."

"The skyyy?! Oh my God girl. I'm happy for you girl"

"Thank you girl AND girl he put it on me last night. He had to carry me out of the bed this morning."

"I can tell in the walk. I'm really happy for you though. You about to be a wife now!"

" hold on." Fatima said laughing, "we gon see about being a wife later on."

Olivia ran inside the coffee room, "Fatima go outside right now! I can't stop him."

"Stop who?"

"I don't know who the man is but your father is out there"

Fatima ran out there. Ian and Denzel were standing face to face.

Fatima walked up, "what the hell is going on?"

"I want to see my fucking kids." Ian said

"You not seeing shit. Those kids are 3 and you haven't seen them once. I'm not about to let you do that." Denzel said

"I WANT MY FUCKING KIDS!"

"Don't yell at him nigga. Find you something safe to do. You're following him? How did you know that he was here?"

"BI-"

"You better not say shit to either one of them" Zac said walking towards them, "we've already met. I told you. Before you fuck with them, look me up! Obviously you haven't." Zac said laughing

"Shit" Fatima said, "Ian just leave"

"No. Don't tell him to leave. Since he wants to come here, let him fuck around and find out" Zac said

"Ain't nobody scared of you. I just want my kids."

"There's a right and a wrong way to do this shit and it's definitely not here. If you aren't scared of me, why you shaking?"

Denzel busted out laughing, "shiver me Timbers"

Ian ended up walking away and leaving. Fatima walked back into the precinct. She heard in her ear piece that they were ready. Denzel and Zac were still outside.

"That nigga really pisses me off." Denzel said

"Thought he would've learned his lesson when Fatima jawed his ass" Zac said

"I ain't hear about that. When did that happen?"

"A couple days ago in Chicago. He runs his mouth too much."

"She just be choosing violence."

"No, he provoked her. All of them did except Madam and the kids."

"Wait a damn minute. You met madam too?" Denzel asked

"I did. I met almost everybody. Madam is a little crazy though"

"She acts just like Fatima"

"Fatima isn't crazy. People just have to stop provoking her. She's a really sweet girl" Zac said

"I'm about to pass out. What do you and my daughter have going on?" Denzel asked

"Your daughter, my girlfriend." Zac said
