MIKEY WAS speeding off the streets with his motorbike like a madman on the loose amidst the heavy downpour. He was driving so fast that all I could do was cling to him for dear life as we swerved along the highway and passed through the other automobiles blocking our path, both not minding our clothes drenched with rain.

I couldn't tell Mikey to slow his bike down since he said there was an emergency somewhere and he needed to be there as soon as possible. I didn't even bother to question him what the urgency was. But what I don't understand was why in the world am I still tagging along with him. It wasn't as if I'm worried about him or something.

"Y/N! Are you still okay in there?" I barely heard his voice due to how loud the engine of his motorbike was accompanied by this torrential rainfall.

"I'm fine, don't mind me!" I said reassuringly almost in a form of a shout for him to hear.

"Bare with me a little longer! We're almost there!"

I tightened my hold around his waist. "Alright!"

The rain was getting heavier by the minute and my eyesight became blurry because of the droplets. I was pretty amazed at how perfect Mikey's vision was that he can still clearly see the road ahead of us despite this awful weather.

It was until I heard faint noises from afar, making me look past his shoulder. Narrowing my eyes, I saw a lot of silhouettes in the distance. I tried to remove the droplets from my eyes to have a better view of our surroundings and much to my astonishment, I saw people fighting at the foot of the Shrine where the Summer Festival was being held. Based on their matching white uniforms, they were obviously a bunch of delinquents. But what surprised me was I recognized some familiar faces in their casual clothing. Among them were Takemichi and Draken with Beanpole suffering from head injury.

"What on earth is going on here?" I whispered in incredulity but was audible enough to reach Mikey's ears. Was this the emergency this blonde was telling me about? I immediately regretted coming here with him. I thought it had something to do with his family. But this? If I'd known it was a gang fight, I should've just let him bring me home instead! It almost slipped my mind that this midget was still a delinquent and worst, a damn leader ruling his own gang. Whatever matters he had was utterly none of my business.

Mikey drove us nearer to the scene and stopped right in front of these people. Everyone whipped their heads as soon as they saw his motorbike. They all shared the same surprised look on their faces the moment they laid their eyes on us.

No, more like they were baffled to see Mikey.

"Y/N, stay with me at all times, alright?" Mikey calmly instructed and took my hand after the two of us climbed down his bike.
