Mariposa's Wand Store

LANA'S POV :

Upon receiving my letter I quickly sent them my reply and decided to go the next day for my school shopping 

The next day I quickly got up and started getting ready to go to Diagon alley

When I stepped into Diagon alley , a rush of nostalgia came over me

Everyone looked so happy and relieved, shops were flourishing and moreover nobody was worried about a hypocrite dark lord ruining their lives.

I silently made my way to Flourish and Blotts and bought the books on the list along with a few advanced books on defence magic , transfiguration and charms.

The shop keeper looked at me amazed but didn't say anything 

As I made my way out of the store I saw the floo network getting activated and a few seconds later a woman and alongside her two boys landed

All three of them had aristocratic features and were really good looking 

The older boy looked at me and winked and I laughed and walked away 

Next , I made my way to a small toy store and bought a stuffed owl , stag , wolf and dog . I named the stag, wolf and dog as prongs, moony, and Padfoot after my dad and two father figures.

The stuffed owl was a snowy owl , so I decided to name it Hedwig, after my first best friend 

 Now, the next destination was Mariposa's wand store 

It was a small wand store in Cedar Alley

Hermione, Veronica and I stumbled across this store while we were exploring diagonally and the places around it.

Miss Mariposa was a kind woman in her early 40's , her grandmother had opened this store in the late 40's. 

" Hmmm, are you a right hand or a left hand dear ? " asked Miss Mariposa

" I'm ambidextrous miss " I replied , during my stay at Grimmauld place Sirius trained me in being ambidextrous. He also taught me a few non verbal spells.

" Hmmm, alright , you go and stand at the centre of the podium there , the wand will choose it's leader " she said 

I did as she said and went and stood at the centre of what looked like a stack of wands

After an entire minute had passed when a wand suddenly flew into my open palms

I was shocked for a moment but quickly recovered 

" Excellent, you got an elder wood , 10 1/2 , phoenix feather , flexible wand , you know this wand is only made for those who is marked out for a special destiny " said Miss Mariposa

" Here you go love , that will be 7 galleons " she said

I handed her the money and thanked her and left the store

I chose to go to a different store other than ollivanders because Mr.Olllivander would have immediately identified me as a time traveler and inform Dumbledore and the least thing I want right now is to catch his attention.

I went to Florean and Fortes-cue and quickly bought myself a scoop of chocolate mint ice cream

Today was interesting, I can't wait to go to Hogwarts  !
