LANA'S POV :
Now the real challenge begins , I had to retrieve Tom Riddle's diary which was safely kept in Malfoy manor , it was given to Lucius Malfoy's father - Abraxus Malfoy for safekeeping .
His son who wanted to get rid of the diary quietly snuck it into the shopping bag of Ginny Weasley, during his visit to flourish and blotts.
His one act could have costed Ginny her life , it's a dangerous thing which should be destroyed as soon as possible before it comes into the hands of another innocent person.
I know it won't be possible by myself so I would be needing some help
I quickly wrote a letter to Professor Dumbledore, asking him to meet me , I hope he answers it, he's my only hope !
with this thought I anxiously went to bed , waiting for a response.
I was awoken by a tapping sound against my window , I got up to see an owl tapping against my window pane , I quickly let it in and stroked his wings affectionately, giving him a few owl treats . He let out a happy hoot . It was a response from Alby ! thank god !

I took a breath of relief and quickly sent my reply via the same owl
Soon it was 6:50 and I quietly made my way to the dining area , I took a seat at the corner , wringing my hands anxiously , the ringing of the bell alerted me that Dumbledore has arrived.
He was dressed in muggle clothes , I waved at him , bringing his attention towards me and he quickly made his way towards me.
" Good evening Miss Kendrick , I hope your holidays are going well ? " asked professor Alby
" Yes Professor they are " I said
" Good ! I believe your letter said you wanted to talk to me about something important ? " he said
" Yes professor, you see I believe I've found a way to get Voldermort down ! you see he's made something known as a hocrux, and to my knowledge they are currently four , well there was five actually but I destroyed one in the room of requirements , there was the diadem of ravenclaw which is destroyed , then there is this diary, helga hufflepuff's cup, the gaunts ring , and the locket of salazar slytherin " I said
Dumbledore was shocked is an understatement
After a few minutes he spoke , " I knew there was something going on when I noticed the wards alerting me that a danger has been avoided , I beleive it has someting to do with you "
I looked down
" Miss Kendrick as much as I admire your courage and determination to defeat Voldermort , I must warn you he's extremely strong and as you've found out yourself he can go to any extinct to avoid death , your very young right now , you shouldn't burden yourself with such a huge responsibility " said Dumbledore
I smiled at him and said " Professor, I understand your concern but this monster had murdered my parents right in front of my eyes when I was just a baby , he's the very reason innocent children are getting orphaned, families are torn apart , people have to live in fear ! I'm not doing it just for myself , i'm doing this for those children who are exposed to a world without a love of a mother and father because of him, for those people who live in fear everyday , just because of Voldemort ! even if it cost's me my life i'll do everything in my power to get Voldemort down "
Professor Dumbledore was moved by this and I was startled because he had tears in his eyes ?
" Miss Kendrick , your parents must be very proud of you ! such courage , such determinism at such a young age ! , please tell me what I can do to help you ? " he said
