LANA'S POV :

I remember how we destroyed the diadem last time , Veronica had stabbed the diadem with the venom of the basilisk but due to my potter luck , everything had to go for a toss

Malfoy and his cronies Crabbe and Goyle followed us to the room of requirement , Crabbe started the fiendfyre which did destroy the diadem but it costed Crabbe his life , he may be a bully but no one deserves to die like this .

This time I had to find a way to destroy the hocrux without burning down the whole school , now as I was thinking about this , I suddenly remembered something.

I rushed to the library and quickly scrolled through the defence section , Aha ! found it !

In this book " 100 ways of performing defence magic " , it is possible to destroy it by performing a fire spell with an equally stron spell to dilute the effect slightly.

I could try using a fiery patronus charm , the fire will destroy the diadem alongside the patronus charm will completely destroy Voldermort's soul to shards . Patronus charm is solely based on good memory whiuch provide us warmth , which Voldermort is totally against.

With this in mind , I quickly shut the book and ran out of the library to the room of requirement on the seventh floor , I quickly found the diadem and resisted the dark magic emitted from it .

I kept it on the floor took a deep breath " hope this works ! "

" Expecto Patronum Ignis "

A fiery doe emitted from my wand and it galloped around , the doe stepped over the diadem and crushed it to pieces , while the soul screamed , finally Voldermorts hocrux was destroyed .

Thank god ! 

The doe bowed at me and I whispered a " thank you ! "

I started jumping around

One day suddenly , I don't know why I was missing Mom and Dad a lot 

I was so subdued that I didn't answer in class 

Something which Regulus took notice of , my hair turned brown

So during night time I quietly sneaked out of my dorms and went into an open space 

I took my wand out and took a deep breath 

I thought about the day when I'll see my parents , Padfoot , Moony , Regulus , Barty , Evan alive , happy , free , vibrant , living the happy life that was snatched away from them so quickly. 

I also thought of seeing my friends Veronica and Hermione happy , alive 

The thought was so powerfull that it bought tears to my eyes and I was able to cast the patronus without chanting the incantation

A staggering blue doe came out of my wand , it galloped around and affectionately bumped into me 

I giggled through my tears and pet it 

I suddenly remebered the day I saw their reflection in the forest , i still remember what they said :

" Always"

" Until the very end "

" I love you mom ! I love you dad ! " I whispered and kept petting the doe

Unbeknown to her , professor Mcgonagall who was on her rounds spotted Lana and was about to going to scold her but stopped when she noticed what she was doing .

She saw a staggering blue doe emmit from her wand without her casting the incantation

She saw as the doe came over and affectionately bumped her , she let  out a teary giggle and pet it , even with being so far way Professor Mcgonagall could still hear what she was whispering :

" I love you Mom ! I love you dad ! " 

Her heart broke upon hearing this , she had no idea what young Miss Kendrick went through but it must have been painfull 

She quickly wiped away her tears , her heart filled with sadness but at the same time admiration for the young girl 

She smiled at her fondly and walked away , letting her go just this one time
