As Friends

REGULUS'S POV :

After I flooed to kings station , i started looking for Barty when I didn't find him anywhere I decided to stand in the side and wait for him .

While looking around I spotted Lana running into the platform with her trolley 

I was going to wave at her when Barty came and pulled me to our comaprtment , which I shared with my friend Evan Rosier and three other students : Walden Mcnair and the Carrow twins .

I can't believe it ! they are organising an annual Christmas ball ! and I don't like dancing at all but the worst part is that I cannot skip it ! ugh !

" So Reg , who are you planning to take with you to the ball ? " asked Barty

" Yeah man , you know Peony Parkinson , she's literally telling everyone that you'll be asking her out ! " said Evan

" No ! not at all ! " I said horrified 

" Then who ? " he asked

My gaze travelled to the hufflepuff table , towards a certain red head who was currently talking to Ted Tonks 

" You want to ask Lana don't you ? " asked Barty

" What n-no , it's nothing like that " I said baffled 

" Oh come on Reg , we all know that you like her, since the day you saw her flying " said Barty

" Yeah and when the vote for the most beautiful girl in our year was going on , you wrote Lana's name !, I saw it ! " said Evan

Barty gasped dramatically , " the slytherin ice prince called a girl beautiful ! "

I groaned and facepalmed

" Kendrick ! " I yelled , Lana turned around and smiled at me

" Hey Black ! what brings you here today ? "  asked Lana 

I took a deep breath " willyougototheballwithme ? " 

She looked confused and said " sorry I didn't get you "

" Will you go to the ball with me ? as friends of course ! " I said

She nodded saying " y - yes " and hugged me 

I smiled and hugged her back

I was waiting for her outside the great hall , fidgeting with my black robes , mother had sent Sirius and I these robes.

Then I heard the clucking of heels and there she was , I felt my jaw drop open , she was looking gorgeous ! 

She was wearing a beautiful green dress which was bringing out her beautiful emerald green eyes , she had her hair half down and wore slight make up . 

" Y-your looking beautiful " I said 

She blushed slightly and said " Thank you, you're looking handsome too " 

I smirked at this and held out my hand , she smiled and took it 

Barty was going with Allison Wood , Gryffindor Quidditch team's chaser and Evan was going with Diana Monroe , a fifth year Ravenclaw.

I saw Lana smirking at someone , curious I turned to look in the direction , she was looking at and saw Pandora Rosier and Xenophilius Lovegood walking together hand in hand.

" I'm so happy for them " said Lana

The night was fun Lana and I danced a lot 

It was the first time I saw her so free and worry free 

She also danced with Xenophilius and I danced with Pandora for a while 

After the dance was over I walked with her to the hufflepuff common room 

" Thank you , I really enjoyed tonight " she said and kissed my cheek 

" It was my pleasure " I said and kissed her hand 

She was shocked by the gesture but still smiled at me 

She is a really charming girl 

While walking back to the Slytherin common room i slightly carressed the cheek she had kissed

" Today was fun ! " I thought
