He Is Singing !

LANA'S POV :

Fourth year had started with a blast and I mean literally started with a blast . Why ? That's because the marauders came up with a beginning of the year prank .

The moments professor Alby was done addressing the students, the marauders casted a spell which made it rain , the students looked up amazed then they casted a spell which turned water to snow and it began to snowfall . 

The surprise doesn't end here , dad and uncle Padfoot stepped on top of the bench and started singing the lyrics to " Just what I needed " by cars .

Everyone started dancing and laughing, that was until Professor Mcgonagall stopped the music and turned towards the marauders.

Dad yelled "RUN! " and all four of them ran out of the hall

Mom and her friends were looking exasperated

During dinner I furiously made my way towards Gilderoy Lockhart , who turned around and gave me a flirtatious smile 

Honestly ! it looks more like he's constipated !

" Hello Kendrick , did you finally decide whether or not you're going to hogsmeade with me ? " he asked

" My answer is no , now come on, I have to show you something " I said and grabbed him by his ear , dragging him out of the great hall

I took him to the gardens were Xenophilius along with Sam Crosswell was waiting for us, sam looked up and beamed at the sight of Lockhart.

" Gilderoy My love! " he exclaimed and jumped into his arms, Lockhart to his credit was looking very very confused

" I'm so in love with you Gilderoy , so much that I want to Siiiiing " I covered his mouth with my hand.

" Oh my god ! he is singing ! " I said shocked

Before you guys arrived he was singing the lyrics to " I want it that way " on top of his lungs , I had to cast the silencing charm on him ! " said Xenophilius exasperated 

I patted him on his shoulder comfortingly 

" Can you tell me what's going on ? " yelled Lockhart while trying to get Sam off him

" You tried to drug Li Chang by giving her a love potion ! " I said 

" What noooo ! why would I even think of doing that ? " he said clearly looking nervous and sweating

" You coated her favourite chocolates in love potion and kept it under her desk during charms but fortunately she decided to sit in the back " I said

" Sam sat in her place today and found the chocolates, he thought they were for him and ate the whole box , since then he's been like this " said Xenophilius 

" Xeno and I saw him searching for you and handed us a note  which said " love Gilderoy ",  he even wrote a poem for you , want to hear it ? Sam ! " I yelled and he turned to look towards me

" Gilderoy here wants to hear the lovely poem you've written for him " I said

Sam's eyes sparkled and he took out a piece of parchment from his pocket and started reciting the poem:

His hair as golden as a phoenix 

His eyes as blue as the sky

He's really a beauty 

I wish he was mine 

Sam completed the poem and gazed at Lockhart, who look horrified and shot us a " please help me ! " look.

Xeno was trying not to laugh as I clapped for him, " it's a really good poem Sam ! " I said

I turned to Xeno , he  said " it's better if we take him to Professor Slughorn , I don't think the potion will wear out anytime soon 

I nodded in agreement

'' Kendrick ! Lovegood! do something ! " yelled Lockhart , struggling to get Sam off him

Xeno and I shared a look

The four of us quickly made our way to Professor Slughorn who was shocked to see us , " Miss Kendrick, Mr. Lovegood, what a pleasant surprise! what can I do for you ? he asked 

" Uh professor, we might have a problem " I said , Xeno and I moved away to show Sam hugging a horrified Lockhart 

Professor Slughorn's smile faded and said " oh boy ! "

He quickly went to his cabinet and took out a vial , it contained a blue coloured solution

" Drink this , the effects will wear out " said Professor Slughorm

Lockhart snatched the vial from his hand and gave it to a lovesick Sam , who drank it in one gulp

The antidote work and Sam went back to normal, he looked around confused " what happened ? " he asked 

Lockhart let out a Loud sigh of relief and collapsed on the ground

" Drama queen ! " I muttered , Xeno who heard me started laughing

The next day , I was walking down the charms corridor when I heard someone running towards me 

It was Barty , he came upto me , lifted me off the floor and twirled me around , yelling " thank you ! , thank you ! " and let me down , shoting me one last grateful look and walked away.

Today was Barty's birthday, so I decided to gift him a black leather jacket , along with a book on Ancient Runes , I really hoped he will like it and looking by his reaction he did .
