Love Potion

LANA'S POV :

Regulus said he loves me 

He loves me !

I love him too but I know it's not going to happen, it will never happen 

The moment I'm done with collecting the last hocrux and defeating snake face , I'll go off the grid , I'll only cause them pain and misery , auntie Petunia was right I am a black omen.

When I climbed into the train I began searching for Xeno , he said his dad wasn't doing well and Xeno is extremely close with his dad , I hope he's okay.

When I found his compartment, I gently knocked on the door and slid it open , Xeno looked up and smiled at me , but it was forced.

" Hi Lana ! how are you ? " He said

I gave him a look and sat beside him , " Don't try to change the topic Xeno ! I know you're upset , how's your dad ? "

Xeno's eyes went wide and he looked down 

" Dad's got dragon pox , it's on the last level , nothing can be done , you should look at him Lana ! he can barely move ! " he siad and broke down 

I hugged him tightly, my eyes filling with tears , so I started humming the lullaby mom used to sing to me as a baby 

Lavenders blue, dilly, dilly

Xeno started to calm down a little

Xeno sniffled and looked up at me " you never told me that you could sing so well " he said and I chuckled 

" Are you feeling better ? " I asked

" A lot " he said and I smiled at him

During dinner , Regulus was sullenly looking down at his bowl of soup, while Selena clinged on to his arm.

I'm trying to forget what he said to me back in the alley but it's tougher than it sounds, especially when I love him too

Gosh ! why did I let myself get attached to Regulus , my aim should have only been destroying the hocruxes and destroying Voldermort , but -

 As I was walking down the hallway , Gilderoy Lockhart came running towards me , giving me a flirtatious smile , I still stand by what I said earlier, he looks like he's constipated.

" Lana , Love , I was wondering if you'll lend me your notes for potions " he said

" And why is that ? " 

" I actually wanted to know how much pearl dust I need to add into the amortentia " he said and instantly covered his mouth 

Recomposing himself and giving me a flirty wink

I stood there shocked before it dawned on me " amortentia  "

You see he has this huge crush on mom and maybe he's trying to make her fall in love with him by giving her the love potion ! 

Does this pompous even know how to prepare the potion half of the time he was absent during OWL level potions due to which he got a D - dreadfull and hence why he's not in NEWT level potions.

Darn it ! I have to go search for the marauders and Severus 

I ran towards the Gryffindor common rooms as fast as I could and by luck I found the boys hanging out there

" James ! " I shouted and they all looked up concerned 

" Woah ! slow down Lana , what's wrong ? " asked dad concerned 

I told him and the boys everything about Lockhart and his not so good intentions 

To say dad was furious was an understatement, he was shaking with anger

" LOCKHART ! " he yelled and ran away

Peter and uncle Padfoot looked at eachother and ran after dad

" We should stop him before he does something stupid , c'mon Lana !" said Uncle Moony and grabbed my hand , all four of us ran behind dad

He literally bursted into the potions lab and there was Lockhart brewing the potion, he looked up scared 

Dad walked up to him and grabbed him by his collar and punched him in the face , he was about to do more but uncle Moony and uncle Padfoot held him back, Peter looked afraid

" James ! James ! calm down ! you'll only mess things up ! Let's take him to Professor Flitwick , James ! " yelled uncle Moony 

I quickly ran up to Professor Flitwick's office and brought him to the potions lab , whre dad was still being held back by uncle Moony and Padfoot 

I had never seen Professor Flitwick that furious , he took 50 points from Ravenclaw and decided to keep him in detention until he's graduated Hogwarts. Tomorrow he'll be taken to professor Dumbledore.

" Mr . Potter , Mr. Lupin, Mr. Black and Mr. Pettigrew please go back to your dormitories, you too Miss Kendrick " he said and walked out with Lockhart on toe

The marauders and I quickly went up to our dorm rooms

The next day all five of us were brought to Dumbledore's office and we've never seen him this livid , since Lockhart didn't administer the potion on mom, he wasn't expelled and was left with a warning and ,of course detention till he graduated Hogwarts.

Dad gave him a black eye once we all were out 

We didn't tell anything about this to anyone, not even mom
