Sorting

LANA'S POV :

On September 1st , i quickly got up and got ready to climb the Hogwarts express, I checked out of leaky cauldron and gave Tom the innkeeper a hug and promised to meet him after the school year is over.

I stood outside Leaky cauldron and raised my wand hand to haul up the knight bus, and it appeared 

" Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard just stick out your wand hand, step on board, and we can take you anywhere you want to go. My name is Alex McKinnon , and I will be your conductor this evening."

After saying this George looked up and raised an eyebrow, " aren't you a little too young to be travelling alone ? " he asked 

" My dad usually takes me around with him but today he had some important work so he sent me alone " I said 

" Hmmm, I see, were you wanna go Little girl? " asked George 

" Kings cross, Please " I said and handed him eleven sickles 

George handed me the ticket and yelled " Take it away Ernie ! " and zoom !, we were off.

We reached Kings Cross in 15 minutes 

" Thank you " I said and handed George the ticket and waved bye to Ernie , who seemed shocked by the gesture.

Kings cross was exactly the same nothing much changed 

I pushed my trolley between platforms 9 and 10 , I took a deep breath and took off in a run and the red and black Hogwarts Express appeared in front of me.

I quietly searched for an empty carraige , avoiding a group of kids running down the corridor 

She found one at the very end of the train 

I shrunk my trunk and kept it on the top and again transformed it back into it's normal size, I started reading a book on advanced transfiguration.

Soon the train left the station and we were on our way to Hogwarts

A hour later I checked my watch, it read 12:30 PM , so I decided to change into my hogwarts uniform and headed outside to search for an empty changing room.

I found one and quickly changed into my uniform, now as I was heading out of the room a boy of my age was running down the corridor , clashed into me and we fell down.

" Pardon me "

" I'm so sorry are you hurt ? "

we both said at the same time and we started laughing but after that the boy again asked me " are you alright ? "

" Yes I am don't worry " I said

The boy smiled and held his hand forward to shake " I'm Xenophilius Lovegood "

" Lana Kendrick" and I don't know how but suddenly my hair turned yellow 

Xenophilius looked intrigued 

" Are you a metamorphmagus ? " He asked

i nodded shyly , my hair turning blue green

The train came to a stop and I heard the familiar voice of Hagrid yelling  "first years over here" , I excitedly vawed at him , the roots of my hair turning yellow, he seemed shocked but vawed back cheerfully.

I was sharing a boat with Xenophilius, a dark curly haired girl and an auburn haired boy 

We all made our way to the castle where we met professor Minnie 

She told us all to wait outside the doors to the great hall , while we were waiting, many of us started placing bets on which house we'll be in.

" I wonder which house I'll be in 🤔 " wondered Xenophilius 

I gave him a smile and said " don't worry! you'll be an asset to whichever house you go to "

He gave me a grateful smile

As I was looking around I spotted two familiar looking boys standing in the front , one had long  vawy black hair and grey eyes , the other had curly blonde hair and soft brown eyes.

OH MY GOD ! they were a young Regulus Black and Barty Crouch Jr. and the boy standing on the left of Regulus must be Evan Rosier.

They looked so young  with eyes gleaming with curiosity , my heart clenched at this sight

This time I'll make sure that neither of them faced the fate they did in my timeline 

My train of thought was broken when professor Minnie came back to take us inside

....and soon the sorting started

Abbot Maxmillian - " Hufflepuff "

Black Regulus " - " Slytherin "

Crouch Bartemius - " Slytherin "

Carrow Rowan - " Ravenclaw "

Eumphric Caster - " Gryffindor "

Grey Dexter - " Gryffindor "

Goldstien Alex - " Ravenclaw "

Kendrick Lana  , " all the best Lana ! " said Xenophilius and I gave hima grateful smile

I slowly made my way and the hat was kept over my head " hmmm ! you have an interesting mind Miss Kendrick or shall I say Miss Potter. Don't worry child , I won't disclose your secret !, now let's go back to the sorting shall we ? hmmm you seem to have an excellent mind witha thirst of knowlege , you are fiercely loyal to your own and work hard , have plenty courage but also equally cunning! hmm , I think I know where to put you :

" Hufflepuff "

The hat was taken off my head and the hufflepuff table started cheering for me , the roots of my hair turning light pink .

Lovegood Xenophilius , I gave him a quick thumbs up and he smiled gratefully - " Ravenclaw "

Quickly the sorting moved on
