Mother - Daughter Bonding

LANA'S POV :

After Regulus and I spent time in the room of requirement, I quickly left, I can't come in between Selena and Regulus, by letting this continue I'll only be hurting Selena and Regulus, we should stop ! this can't happen ! no matter how much I love him.

Those romance novels were right, were there is love there is pain...

A month has passed by and after a painfully long time I'm feeling better, way better, I'm able to eat without throwing up and I'm not fainting from time to time. 

Seeing Regulus and Selena holding hands together and laughing does hurt but it's for the better, and Regulus likes Selena not me, he only likes me as a friend nothing more, If he's happy , I'm happy.

One night I spotted mom sitting alone which is a rare sight since she's always surrounded by her friends and loved ones, and if she's not with her friends, she's tutoring someone.

" Hi " I whispered 

She startled and turned to look around, " oh ! Hi Lana ! "

" Do you mind if I sit ? "

" Not at all "

" Um Lilly if you don't mind me asking, why aren't you talking with Severus ? "

Mom looked shocked by the question but answered

" He called me a mudblood ! you were there too ! " said mom

" Yes I was but I heard Mary saying that he came to apologise, he was even ready to sleep outside the Gryffindor common room all night ! " I said

" He was but it doesn't change what he did ! and he keeps calling students like me the " m " word ! why should I even bother listening to him ! " said Mom

" That's were you're wrong, I'm not saying you should forgive him, not at all, but atleast try hearing him out , everyone deserves a chance to say , then you can decide " I said

Mom looks at me and to my shock she hugs me 

" You have a good heart Lana , never change and you're right I'll try hearing him out but he won't be forgiven easily " she whispered 

I chuckled and nodded , trying to wipe the tears from my eyes 

She pulled back and smiled at me 

" By the way , are you alright ? you've been off for these past few days " asked mom

Oops ! " yes , yes , stomach cramps " I said 

She raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything

As I was walking down the hall, I heard some noise coming from an empty classroom, I slightly opened the door if everything is okay , but to my shock..

There was a girl sitting on a desk with her head tilted back, her legs were wide open and Barty was standing in front of her , mouthing at her throat.

The girl kept gasping 

Now before any one of them could notice me , I quietly came out 

Phew !
