"Don't be late this time. Your poor time management has been throwing our schedule off lately."

"Yeah, yeah." Dabi lazily answered.

"I mean it, Dabi. If you're—"

Not wanting to hear anymore from his boss, Dabi simply hung up the phone. He could care less if his boss was upset or impatient with him; he has one goal and only one goal. To look his best for you, in other words, to impress you.

"This will do." He puts his hand over his white, collared dress shirt and undoes a few buttons, exposing part of his collarbone.

As Dabi was leaving his apartment, he then remembered that you mentioned going to a dinner party. Which meant his chance of seeing you at the shop was negative. That's when his eyes landed on the pastry wrap next to his foot. Reminding him to clean his apartment, but most importantly, giving him an excuse to see you.

Dabi went back to his kitchen and packed a few pastries in a bag before heading out of his apartment. As he was standing outside your door, he was now contemplating whether he should knock or abandon his plan.

Though the sight in front of him was merely a door, his heart was pounding as loudly as it could. His body was heating up from excitement, yet a small part of him was nervous. Would this be too much? Would he look stupid doing this?

As he stood there contemplating, the door before him suddenly opened, revealing a h/c hair girl. Her eyes widened in surprise, but they soon relaxed when her e/c orbs met with his blue ones. Though he didn't show it, Dabi was once again falling in love with the girl in front of him. The one who had stolen his heart the moment his eyes landed on her.

As you opened the door to leave, you were surprised when you were greeted by the deep, blue eyes that have kept you up these past nights. A mere image in your mind was nothing compared to seeing it with your eyes, though. Maybe that's why you could never get used to it, nor would you get enough of it.

Breaking eye contact with him, you decided to look elsewhere, and your eyes suddenly landed on the loose dress shirt he was wearing. The way his collarbone was exposed and the way his tie loosely hung around his neck made you feel weird. You couldn't help but blush at the sight of him like this. It made him even more attractive and alluring. Something you shouldn't even be thinking of.

"That's not very professional of you." You manage to say it without stammering your words, directing your eyes to the wall behind him.

"Ah, is that so? Then maybe you could help me with it."

"Eh? Uh—I..." You looked down, as a massive flood of adrenaline that shot through you. Like the sound of drums, your heart began pounding faster than ever, and as if that weren't enough, your blood was rushing to your face, heating it up.

You were at a loss for words, like you always were whenever he was around. Though what he said was merely words, your body couldn't help but respond in such a way.

"I'm just kidding." Dabi chuckled at your adorable reaction. "I'll fix it when I feel like it. Anyway, I came here to give you this." He handed you a bag filled with pastries from the shop.

"You mentioned that you love eating these, so I decided to give you some of mine since you won't be able to go back to work for a few days."

"T-thank you."

"Oh my goodness, I missed you!" Your mom exclaimed as she gave you a big hug, patting your back.
