The following morning, you woke up to sunlight filtering through your curtains, casting a soft glow upon your room. Slowly, you stirred awake as you recalled the event of last night. Aside from your heavy and puffy red eyes, you felt better knowing you had someone to lean on as you went through your current situation.

However, the emptiness in your chest remained as if a part of your soul had been mercilessly ripped away. Memories of Dabi replayed in your mind, each scene carving deeper into your wounded heart. You couldn't help but feel foolish for allowing him to toy with you. It was a pain that left you gasping for air in a world that suddenly felt cold and uncaring.

With a heavy sigh, you reluctantly dragged yourself out of bed, forcing one foot in front of the other as you shuffled towards the bathroom. Despite wanting to call in for work, you knew heading to work was better than being left alone with your crowded thoughts.

After showering and brushing your teeth, you hurriedly got dressed in an attempt to avoid any encounter with Dabi. You knew you couldn't afford to break down in front of him or let him see even a glimmer of the devastation he had caused.

Leaving home earlier than usual, you stepped onto the empty streets, distracting yourself by counting your steps. Though it was helpful initially, the moment you entered the familiar road where you and Dabi had walked, it became harder. Memories of the past began flashing through your mind once more as you bit your inner cheek to refrain from showing emotions.

As you arrived at work, you were determined to lose yourself in the chaotic rhythm of customer service and helping your manager with baking. Though working in a bakery shop was good, you wished you were working elsewhere, somewhere without the memories of you and Dabi.

As the day dragged on, your shift came to an end, and as you were taking off your apron in the locker room, Hinata approached you. There was a glimmer of excitement in her eyes as she smiled widely before inviting you to a new club recently opened down the streets. At first, you wanted to refuse, but the idea of losing yourself in a blur of music and flashing lights didn't seem so bad. It was rather tempting.

In the end, you were desperate to forget your reality. Even though it was for a night only, you didn't care as long as you could forget that man. With a slight smile, you nodded your head towards Hinata.

As you stood in front of the mirror, you couldn't help but feel a bit nervous as you applied your makeup. Tonight was your first time going to a club. It would be your first time venturing into a world filled with words of caution and stories of danger. Whether it was stories of assault, one-night stands, or a barrage of regretful decisions, you've heard it all. But unlike the usual crowd who goes there to enjoy themselves, you were going so you could forget reality.

To forget the pain, the heartache, and most importantly, Dabi.

As you carefully chose your outfit for the evening, your fingers grazed over the soft fabric of a tight, revealing black dress. Though you didn't know how such an item lurked in your closet's depths, you wore it anyway.

With a deep breath, you grabbed your clutch and opened the door, ready to enter the night. However, as the door swung open, fate seemed to mock your attempt at forgetting Dabi. In front of you was Dabi, stepping outside of his home. It felt like the universe was playing a cruel trick on you, placing him in your path when you needed to forget him the most.

Panic swirled in your chest, threatening to drown you. Immediately, you tore your eyes away from him, avoiding his gaze as you refused to acknowledge him.  As you attempted to brush past him, your feet moved mechanically, but Dabi had other plans.
