You woke up with a groggy head and a heavy heart. A heavy sigh escaped your lips when your phone was filled with notifications that weren't from him. It's been two days since you last heard from Dabi. No texts, no calls, no showing up, nothing. At first, you tried to brush it off, not wanting to come across as clingy or insecure. However, as the hours turned into days, a growing unease settled deep within you.

Getting out of bed, you went through your usual morning routine, trying to distract yourself from the nagging worry that gnawed at you. It was eating you alive, and you didn't know how to deal with it. Which was why today you decided that you wouldn't ignore it any longer. You needed answers. You needed to know if Dabi was okay. Moreover, you wanted reassurance that he still felt the same.

As you finished getting ready for work, your resolve grew stronger. Without overthinking it, you found yourself standing in front of Dabi's door, hesitant but determined. You couldn't help but wring your hands together nervously. You were repeatedly telling yourself that this was normal as you took a deep breath and knocked, hoping for a familiar voice to reassure you.

To your surprise, the door creaked open, revealing a stranger on the other side. Your eyes widened as you took in the unfamiliar face. It was evident that you were stunned; however, the woman didn't seem to care. She had a scowl on her face as she looked you up and down. It was clear that she didn't like you, as her words were full of resentment.

"Tch, so you're the girl he left me for," the woman said with a venomous sneer.

At that moment, your heart sank at her words, and confusion clouded your mind. You had no idea that there was another woman in Dabi's life beside the blonde girl with messy buns. Your initial shock was immediately replaced by a mixture of hurt and jealousy.

Swallowing the lump in your throat, you managed to find your voice and mustered the courage to do what you came here for. "Um, I... I just wanted to check up on Dabi. Is he here?" You asked, your voice barely above a whisper.

The woman's scowl deepened as she crossed her arms, blocking the doorway. "He's busy," she responded curtly. "Showering, to be exact. What do you want?"

Disappointment washed over your entire being. You had hoped to see Dabi, to find solace in his presence and reassurance in his words, but instead, you were met with your worst nightmare.

"I see... so he's well," you mumbled under your breath, your voice laced with disappointment. "Well, I'm sorry for bothering you both," you managed to say without a waver in your voice before flashing her the best smile you could make, trying to hide your wounded feelings.

Without saying a word, the woman slammed the door in your face, causing a gust of wind to brush against your skin. With that, your shoulders slumped in defeat as you turned to walk away. Your mind was filled with unanswered questions and a heavy sense of betrayal.

Every step you took felt heavy, as if the weight of your heartbreak was physically burdening you. Tears welled up in your eyes as you struggled to make sense of the situation. You had believed that Dabi cared for you and that you were building something special with him. However, seeing another woman in his apartment, someone he had never mentioned, shattered that illusion.

Confusion mingled with jealousy, fueling the ache in your chest. Doubts crept into your mind, whispering that you had been too naive to trust him so easily. Were you just a passing fling for him? Was all he wanted your body? You couldn't help but think about the last question, as the last time you'd seen him was the day you gave him everything.
