"Well, look who decided to come by after all." Ryuuen teased with a smirk. "Suzune."
"You would've gotten Kushida to spam text me until my death date if I didn't." She popped her bubble-gum, a bored expression on her face. "Say what you want to say."
"Nice and confident now, are we?"
"Sure. Also, before we begin," She turned to look at Kushida. "Please drop the act. You look like a knock-off Sailor Moon but hashtag emo, and it's pissing me off."
"Oh my, that's quite rude of you, Horikita-san!"
"Traitors get what they deal out."
"My goodness! It seems like someone from our class spilled the beans! Was it Hirata-kun? Ayanokoji-kun, maybe?"
"We're the only ones here right now. Plus, it'd be better for both your and my own mental health if you'd say your true thoughts to my face."
"Accusing me of pretending, now? That's pretty mean."
"We both know that I know your tragic backstory, so chop-chop."
She was silent after hearing that. Then, a wicked grin spread across her heart-shaped face.
"Yeah, I was quite the problem child back then, huh?" The voice change really didn't lie. Kushida was a catfish in the flesh. "Now, since you've managed to piece together that much by yourself, surely you know what I'm really after."
"You want me expelled and to have my head on a pike."
"Right on the money. So," Her gaze darkened. "If you try to tell anyone about me, then that's when I'll really drive the thumbscrews in. And if that happens... you won't be able to keep your precious big brother out of it."
"Do whatever you want to him. It doesn't affect me."
"Oh?"
Suzune pulled her hair tighter, so it was pulling at her scalp. "It's about time someone knocked him of his perch. Life lessons wait for no man."
"I don't recall you seeing him that way before..." Kushida contemplated on something before she placed her maniac grin back on her face. "But that doesn't matter right now. In order for me to become the person I desire; I can't take any chances. I need to get rid of anyone who knows about my past."
"Oh, really?" Ryuuen finally spoke up. "Does that put me in your sights, too?"
"Maybe someday!" Kushida's 180's are going to give her an aneurysm.
Ryuuen closed his eyes. "I'd like to see you try."
Kushida's face switched back to emo and she spoke unblinking. "I'm so glad I can tell you this to your face. You will be expelled, and it'll be because of me. I'd even make a deal with the devil to get you kicked out."
"You heard her."
Suzune blinked before gesturing a hand over to Ryuuen. "Well, if she's revealed her true colours, you might as well, too. I'll admit it, that stunt you tried at the sports festival was a clever one."
Once again, it would have worked if Ayanokoji didn't want to have him as a pawn.
"How gracious of you." Ryuuen's eyes focused on her, his smirk ever-growing. "Here it is, then; before the festival even began, I had Kikyou here take a picture of class D's roster and send it to me. Afterwards, I based my class's roster off of it, ensuring that we had the best possible match ups against you."
"You left out a part of the story." Suzune clapped a hand over her thigh. "Kinoshita's leg."
"It's true, she really did trip and fall when trying to catch up to you. But a tumble like that would only give her a few bruises and scrapes." He hopped off the stairs and leaned on them while standing up. "That's why I had her act like she was badly hurt, then afterwards, I made sure she didn't have to pretend anymore."
