"Do you remember that boy we met the other day? The one who had a really fancy way of speaking?" A loud voice echoed from the device came through, making the h/c girl pull the phone away from her ear

"Do you remember that boy we met the other day? The one who had a really fancy way of speaking?" A loud voice echoed from the device came through, making the h/c girl pull the phone away from her ear. She sighed, stepping out a small blue and white tent placed in seemingly no where. The trees around her swayed back and forth, the wind blowing leaves off every so often. The dirt was all dried and tough from the lack of rain. The sun was already out and shining brightly, the trees giving the shade was was much needed.

"Y/n, are you even listening?" The same voice asked once more with a slightly agitated voice. "Of course I am...!" The same h/c girl that responded was you. You obviously were not as your main mission was getting to school on time! "Uh huh"

"Sorry... I was busy getting ready for school. I didn't get that scholarship for nothing!" You smiled, grabbing your bag before taking one last look inside you not so cozy tent and gleaming when you saw a photo of your mother. Your late mother.

"Bye mom! I'll see you after school!" You purposely lowered your voice not wanting your friend on the other line to listen in.

"You know I can't get mad at you, y/n... *sigh* just get to school first and then I'll continue telling you my story" although you couldn't see, you knew she was smiling. You felt a bit bad for having to make her wait yet it was more practical that way. You wouldn't get caught up in the conversation, plus you'd have more time at school!
