Arnav's POV

"What are you doing here", I asked as I entered my office. Dev was sitting on the couch reading a magazine.

"You are here", he remarked, still looking at the magazine.

I directly went to my chair and sat on it, crossing my legs.

"Tell me what brought you here?" I asked again. He walked to the table and sat on the chair in front of me.

"I will be frank, don't meet Mr. Sharma. I want that project so, back off," he said like a boss, but he forgot who is boss here.

"If you want that project, then compete with me and take the project," I replied.

"So, you are not gonna listen to me?" he asked, annoyed.

No, you don't have to love the one who hates you. I repeated this many times in my mind to get a hold on myself.

"No, compete with me," I stated.

"You will regret it", he yelled and walked out of my office, irritating me.

What he is going to do now. It's like this always, he always chooses unjust way over fair competition.

"What he said?" Ajay asked as he entered my office with Avi.

"Nothing", I shrugged. "When you arrived, Avi?", I asked.

"When you are out with your girlfriend", he teased and I smiled thinking about Naina. At the same time, I heard a beep sound from my phone indicating I received a message. I opened the message casually but a smile formed on my lips as soon as I saw the message.

'Safely reached home', the message says.

'Relax a bit, don't take much pressure', another message.

'Ok, butterfly. Take care', I replied to her message and put my phone back only to see two sets of curious eyes looking at me, demanding an explanation.

"He is so in love with her, dude. Look at him smiling and blushing just looking at her message", Avi remarked.

"It's not like that, Avi", I tried to explain but Ajay cut me off.

"We saw how eager you are to reply to her message and you dare to deny, idiot", he exclaimed.

"Ok, leave him. What about you?", Avi asked Ajay.

"He fell for a girl who is in a relationship", I chuckled and Avi laughed as he said "Can't you find a girl who is single?"

"How could I know, man. I fell for her at the first sight and found thatshe already has a boyfriend. I am already heartbroken still, you are making fun of me", Ajay cried dramatically and we both laughed.

"That's why I want to date Arnav. Don't you think, Arnav, we could make a cute couple and our story will be better than any BL dramas", he remarked as he tried to sit on my lap.

"Don't come near to me", I stated as I pushed him from me. While Ajay played a pushing game with me, Avi was laughing hi ass-off.

"Ok, break-up", Ajay commented and sat in the chair beside Avi.

"Jokes apart, that girl is in a toxic relationship, man", Ajay stated suddenly.

"What are you saying, Ajay?", I asked seriously.

"Yeah, I saw him kissing another girl when I dropped her. That Pooja girl didn't see it and when I tried to explain it to her, she didn't trust me. And I also observed that he was talking to her rudely", Ajay explained.

"So, he is cheating on her", Avi remarked.

"Maybe," Ajay shrugged.

"I should tell this to her friend and before that I better try to confront her", I commented. I like Pooja, she is like a sister to me. She takes care of Naina and their friendship is much more like a family.
