Authors POV

"Butterfly, wake up we are home," Arnav tapped her cheek to wake her up after reaching Singhania's mansion.

She was tired after all the rituals and dancing in her Baraat so she fell asleep while coming to his home as a new bride.

Malini opened the car door and asked her to get down. Arnav and Naina got out of the car and walked to the door and there Malini stopped them for harathi.

A house helper came to her with harathi pallem (Arthi plate). She took it, gave them harathi and gave it back to the helper.

Then Payal washed both of their feet as his sister. (It's ritual to wash bride and grooms feet before letting them in and this ritual is performed by either groom's sister or bride's brother)

"Give me Adapadachu katnam," Payal forwarded her hand for money\gift.

Arnav put a bunch of notes in her palm from his wallet and she grinned saying "Thank you."

"Now, tell names," Payal asked teasingly. It is a ritual to say each other's names when grihapravesh time.

"My wife Naina and I came home," Arnav said as he wrapped his hand around her shoulder and she smiled shyly looking down.

"Our chatterbox is silent now," Pooja teased.

"Come on say it," Ajay said as they were all waiting for her to tell her husband's name with a happy smile on their faces.

"My husband Arnav and I came home," she said shyly and closed her face with her palms and everyone laughed.

After that, they allowed them in and they walked into the Singhania mansion which was lit dazzlingly.

Then Malini and Nalini took her to Pooja mandhir and asked her to light the Diya and take blessings from the god.

Naina sat on the couch tiredly after performing all the rituals. She badly wants to remove all the jewelry and change to comfortable clothes as she was unable to bear the weight of the saree and jewelry.

"Naina, come with me," Malini commented.

"Now where, maa? Is there any ritual pending?" she whined sitting straight.

"No, beta," she chuckled.
"You can freshen up now,"

"Really can I remove all these things?" she asked, pointing to her heavy jewelry.

"Yes," Malini said and took her to the room.

Pooja and Payal helped her to remove all the jewelry and she went to the washroom to take a shower.

"Seriously, maa," Naina commented looking at the white saree she was given.

"This once. Please, dear," Malini remarked, holding her chin requesting her to wear the saree.

"Fine, help me girls," Naina commented while taking the saree.

Pooja and Payal helped her in wearing saree and they again put matching jewelry on her.

"Maa, these are heavy," Naina whined, showing all the jewelry put on her.

"It's ok, beta just bear with it a little more, then you can remove them after going to Arnav," Nalini commented, putting jasmine flowers garland in her hair.

"Nain, you don't have to remove them after going to Arnav's room because he can take them off for you," Payal remarked teasingly.

Naina smiled shyly when they mentioned it. It's their first night according to ritual.
