Naina's POV

"Maa, I am tired. How many left?" I sighed as I came back from the fitting room after trying my 34th saree.

"Mera bacha, you are tired already..." Malini maa commented.
"There are only a few to try," she said, showing a pile of sarees and lehengas to try.

"Maa," I exclaimed, horrified.
"I can't try these many."

"Beta, wedding means so many rituals, so you have to wear different clothes for every event, so these are only a few. We still need to buy," she commented.

"But---" I tried to say, but she didn't let me say anything and gave me a lehenga to try.

I looked at my mom and she shrugged, then I looked at Nalini maa and she just smiled helplessly.

"Maa," I tried to call Chaya maa (Ajay's mom).

"Don't ask me anything. I am mad. She only took half of the clothes I selected," she said, and I blinked in disbelief.

That means she wants me to try the whole mall or what?

I looked at my friends and they laughed teasingly.

"Don't laugh at her... just remember you are next," my mom and Ajay's mom said, looking at Pooja and Payal and this time I laughed.

If only Arnav was here, I would have ditched them with him.
I think he is going through the same as all the dads and his friends are with him for the shopping.

I tried all the sarees Malini maa gave me and she bought almost all the sarees.

She wants me to start a clothing store or what?

After trying and buying so many, I sat on the chair tiredly while the remaining ladies were buying some for them.

Arnav came running to me while we were conversing.

"Where is your wedding saree?" he asked, and I showed him Gold pattu saree with a maroon border.

He took the saree and ran to the stairs.

Is he stealing my wedding saree?
My dumb brain, how can my groom steal his bride's saree, uff.

"Hey, where are you taking that?" I yelled and ran behind him.

He ran so fast and reached the 7th floor. I panted heavily when I reached the exact floor and started searching for him.

There he was. I pointed him and started walking to him, controlling my breathing.

"This one," I muttered.

"But I think it was a little darker than the saree," he commented without lifting his head.

He was actually trying to match his wedding sherwani with my saree. There is the same shade of sherwanis put on the table with little difference and he is trying to match the exact color.

Why is he so sweet?

"How is this one?"

"Perfect," I replied, and he lifted his head with a smile.

"My sweet boy," I remarked and pulled his cheeks and he grinned.

"My sweet boy," our dads, Avi and Ajay, exclaimed teasingly and Arnav blushed, making me smile shyly.

"Let's go. They will continue the remaining shopping," Arnav said, and I nodded.

"Where are you going? You still need here for shopping," Arnav's dad exclaimed when we were leaving.

"We are running away from you and your shopping," I winked at him.

"But what can I say if the ladies ask for you?" he asked.
