Even after sleeping the entire day I was still tired. After my walk with Benji I came back to my room. At night the room was eerie. I couldn't sleep. I was shuffling in my bed. I was warm and I was fed and yet I couldn't close my eyes and fall asleep. I didn't feel safe. At times like these back home I used ask my mom to sleep with me. She would happily accept it as it was hard for me sometimes sleep in the dark. I could just suck it up and sleep or I could ask Benji to sleep with me.
Would that be too forward. What would he think about my request. I took out my phone and texted him.

You up?

It took only a second for the reply.

Yes. Is something wrong?

I can't sleep. It's the new atmosphere.

Anything I can do?

Can you lay down next to me?

This time I did not get a text back as soon as the others. I wondered. Was he offended?

Right then I heard a knock on the door. I walked towards it and opened it.

"May I come in?" Benjamin asked me smiling. He was in casual clothes. A dark blue sweater and sweatpants. His demeanor seemed more soft in his home clothes.

I opened the door and let him walk in.

"I am so sorry to ask this of you. I hope it's not too weird." I said shyly.

"I get it. It's an old place. It will take some time to get used to." He said as he walked towards my bed. "You prefer left or the right side?"

"The right." I said as I walked to the opposite side of the bed and got in.

"Did I wake you up?" I asked.

"No actually I was watching friends." He said smiling.

"You don't sleep at night?"

"I am used to sleeping during the day. But my sleeping patterns are not so fixed."

"What is that like a vampire thing?" I asked casually. His eyes focused on me again. Every time I said the word vampire it's like a switch going off in his head.

"Yes in a way." He was being careful with his answers.

He laid down on the left side of the bed and I laid on my right. We were facing each other. I scoot closer to him to get some body warmth only to be greeted by the cold marble that was his body.

"The cold is something I need to get used to. I expected you to be warm. You look so warm." I said disappointed.

Benji chuckled as he drew his arm around me and held me closer. I nuzzled deep into his neck and chest. The blanket over us was good enough for me. My own body heat trapped underneath was warming him as well.

"I am sorry, unfortunately I can not do anything about the cold. You feeling okay?" He asked.

I remembered the promise he made before we came here. He would provide me comfort and protection. He was willing to do so.

"I am. It's just so hard to sleep when I am alone. Hope you don't mind this."

"No princess. Not at all." He said softly.

Just like that I fell asleep in Benjamin's arms to a deep slumber.

I opened my eyes to a room. A large white room. Everything here was clean and white. So white that the light bouncing off the walls and the floor blinded me. As I adjusted my eyes to the center of the room I saw a coffin. A large white coffin. I felt the tug in my heart again. A calling of sorts asking me to walk towards the middle. I obliged. As I walked towards the middle there was a platform that raised the coffin a feet above the floor. I took the steps to reach the coffin and try to open it. It was heavy and I had to use both of my hands to pry it open. As I did a strange sensations surge through me. A sensation that wanted me to literally just fall into the coffin and devour whatever was inside.
