Chapter five-"Cherokee Rose"

  I sat at the doc of the pound we have a mile or so away from the house I Needed away from everyone I pulled of my pants but keep my purple top on I sighed and jumped in to the pound

  It was dirty but I didn't care the water felt nice on my skin I came up for are my hair now socking wet but who I saw by the lake surprised me there stood Daryl watching me"You following me"I asked looking at him"No I'm just looking for Sophia"I hummed

  And swimmed to the edge of the pound Daryl held out his hand to help me I sighed and reached for him and he pulled me up once I was on solid ground he looked me up and down once before looking away and not looking again"Cherokee rose"I asked looking on his hand

"You remember the story"I nodded"Yeah I do"I say looking away"I was scared of losing my baby and you brought me that flower"He looked down"That was a good memory"He said noding"Yeah intell you ruined it by leaving me the next day"I said walking away and over to my pants

  I closed my eyes"I named her Alexxa but she wasn't mine to name when I gave her up so she could have a hole different name"I say looking up at him it looked like he wanted to say something but he never did he just keep his mouth shut intell we intered the farm

   "If You're daughter is as strong as you are she's still alive in this world"I looked up at him"I only say your because I left her..."I nodded and walked up to the porch"Go give that to Carol tell her the story"That was the last word I gave him before walking Into the house

  "What we seen at the well....There group sends him into dangerous situations and I c-cant lose him to one of those sick people"I nodded with a frown"I understand"I wish they can see that they aren't sick"I mean T killed that person"I sighed and looked down

  "Maggie there not S-"She cut me off"Yes they are Sick! Mamma and are step brother everyone we lost there in that Barn ready to be healed from a cure"was I the only one in this house that thought they wernt Sick and just dead"Maggie...."Dhe shook her head no and walked away

   I sighed and walk from behind the house and up to the tents"Hey Glenn"I asked as he was sitting down leaning his head against a tree"Hey"I stood in front of him"Mind if I sit"I asked pointing down"Oh yeah sure go head"I smiled and sat down

   Why was I so nervous about this"So uh..."I started and scratched my head"What I saw at the well that was something I never seen before"he nodded and put his book down"Yeah we been on the road a long time and like I told Maggie I geuss we grew numb to it"

  How can that ever be normal"Well...I've never been so worried for someone in my life"He smiled slightly at me"I want us to be best friends I realize that yiu were more then just a person staying on are farm"He sat up and smiled looking at me"we are best friends"He said holding my arm that was on my knees

   "So she told me what happened with you two"He looked at me and leaned back down"Is she mad at me?"He questioned avoiding my eyes"No Glenn she's not I don't know if I should share this...."I said looking around to make sure no one was there"But she liked it"I winked at him making his face heat up

   "With all the noise she was making I sure hope she liked it"Now it was my turn for my face to heat up"Glenn! She's my sister ew"He started laughing witch had me smack his arm"What a nerd"I say standing up"do you have advice for me"He asked

   "Yeah I would give her some time"I say walking away from him I walked up to the house and slide in"Hey"Beth said with a smile"Hey Bethy it's like I haven't seen ya lately"she nodded and looked away"Ive been doing alot of stuff trying to keep my mind off Otis"I nodded and walked over to her hugging her

  "Why did yiu run off at the funeral"I bit my lip as I hugged her my head on hers"I couldn't take it"I say trying not to think about Otis"he would have understood"I pulled out of the hug and looked at her"he wouldn't be able to attend your funeral for longer then five minutes"

  I think he would stay longer then that but she's just trying to tell me everything okay"I think I need to tell you something"I say putting my hands on my shoulder"I should have told you before but I was pregnant once"She gasped and pulled slightly away from me

   "You know that man Daryl"She nodded and looked towards the door"He was the father that's how I know him"She looked down"What happened to the baby"That was an important question to ask"I regret it...but I gave her up after Daryl left Me"Her face turned angry

   "Every time we got into a fight he was a lot worse then then he is now"she rubbed my back"He will be leaving soon enough"She said pulling away with a smile"I love you Bethy"She smiled up at Me"I love ys to"She pulled me back in yet another hug I love having my sisters even though I right with them sometimes I love um to death
